Rovers Set For Crucial Game

Rovers head into the crucial game against Manchester City tonight knowing that their destiny is firmly in their own hands.

As tension mounts before the game, Rovers defender Phil Jones has told fans to get behind the team and that the players can get the club out of relegation trouble. Talking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Jones said: “We have got massive games until the end of the season now and we just have to pull together as a team and do as best as we can and hopefully that will be enough. We have to forget about where we are in the table and forget about what points tally we think could keep you up.”

Jones also urged fans to get behind the team: “We need to pull together — the fans, the players, the staff, everyone involved — and we will be okay I’m sure.”

Rovers go into the game just one point clear of the relegation zone.
