Radosav Petrovic is set to become Rovers’ first major signing of the summer.
Petrovic completed a medical today and the deal is expected to be completed within the next day or so. Partizan Belgrade accepted Rovers’ offer of £3 million plus extras yesterday for the Serbian international.
Sources have also confirmed to BRFCS.com that Rovers are also close to having bids accepted for a number of other players. After a summer of frustration it seems that Rovers are now ready to make a splash in the transfer market.
In other news Rovers lost 1-0 to Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League Asia Cup. Darren Bent’s 49th-minute strike was enough to put Villa through to the final. Rovers will now play Hong Kong based side Kitchee on Saturday in the 3rd/4th place playoff.
