Rovers have finally completed the signing of David Goodwillie this evening. Goodwillie joins Rovers from Dundee United on a 4-year deal. The fee has not been disclosed but is believed to be £2 million plus add-ons.
Rovers beat off competition from a number of clubs including Glasgow Rangers, who had a reputed 7 bids turned down for the highly-rated striker. Goodwillie is in line to make his debut for Rovers on Saturday against Kilmarnock before joining up with the Scottish national team.
