All the pressure will be on Lofty now, can he take it ?

I reckon he'll be gone very shortly anyway.

We can only hope they have learned a few lessons and actually employ someone of the right calibre and

character.

For God sake Venky's if your'e reading this, please do the right thing for once.

On a serious note. Paul is an individual with a family and a living to be made from his reputation and is therefore easily libelled. I'm just hypothesizing here, but I imagine the club would have been against him brining action against fans, but he is now just an individual with no such pressure

Please, think before posting.

Glenn's right, I'd like to lead the praise.

Homer Simpson Paul Agnew is a... brilliant man with lots of well thought-out, practical, ideas. He is insuring the financial security of this company for years to come. Oh yes, and his personal hygiene is above reproach.

Well it appears that Agnew was in Portugal (info from Mark Fish), which if true then he was at the Football League AGM, which is taking place in Portugal when he found out that he had been sacked! Excellent!

Do you think Kamy, there is any chance the he announced the season ticket deal without waiting for final permission.

That could well be it. That pesky sign off process. We should have been grateful to have had such forward thinkers and footballing administrators as Agnew and Shaw, their reputation throughout the game, and indeed the press, is legendary. Without them the club would get nothing done and we'd have been relegated from the Premier League months ago.

Then again Desai might well have woken up a bit grumpy and just decided to sack him. Who knows?

Lets hope she wakes up grumpy again tomorrow and sacks Shaw then.

If true, you would have to say it was planned.

Which begs a few more questions.

Oh dear. Not a good advert for the next person. Unless...

It's normally the chickens who get it but when she's in this mood anything could happen, put it this way the pot collector in Blues Bar has booked the weekend off. Which is just as well as that would be a bigger loss.

Or maybe he's been speaking out of turn at the meeting and someone did'nt like it.

And all men kill the thing they love

By all let this be heard

Some do it with a bitter look

Some with flattering word

The coward does it with a kiss

The brave man with a sword

(Some whilst they are out of the way in a different country at a meeting representing the people who are about to kill them).

After all that, it will probably be just another rumour gone mad. =))

I see Sly sports are making Agnew out to be a brfc stalwart, there saying he's 'left' after being here for 17 years! which im sure is no way true(and it doesn't mention most of his time here until the venkys arrival has been in menial jobs), it also makes out that he's solely responsible for the season ticket offer.

if people want to boycott, then why not boycott sly sports(or sky as a whole), a channel full off presenters, reporters and pundits/has-beens that have continually criticised the fans and only shown us in a bad light whilst they spurt out agnew/kean/Anderson/sem propaganda.(if sky where to lose 1000s of subscribers in a single area they would have to address the issue somehow)

As good as this is something doesn't add up

Less than a week ago he was announced as chairman of the community trust now this

? Rather baffling. Could they be clearing the decks as a condition of sale perhaps.
