  1. Hi All, not posted in ages, but was reading this thread and as a person who loves food, I just couldn't resist to chip in. I agree with Mahbub in Chorlton being one of the best takeaways ever, the only problem is, it is about 30 seconds walk from my house and very convenient, also very unhealthy when you eat there a couple of times a week! My favourite Indian restaurant at the moment is Akbars on Liverpool Street in Manchester, excellent food in nice surroundings, they scatter rose petals on the table as you go to sit down, which me and the lasses from work think is a very nice touch, although it is popular and does get very busy, they also have the biggest Nan breads I have ever seen, they come out hung on a large rack, if you like curries you must try it out. For Spanish food, Casa Tapas in Didsbury is very nice, cheap and cheerful and much better then La Tasca which is just over the Road, I am also a big fan Of Croma, there is one in Chorlton and in Town, very good value for money and I really must recommend the prawns for starters!
  2. Looking forward to this game, I predict that I will get very drunk and Rovers will win 2-1 Benni 2 Bellamy 1
  3. I'm in - Rach's Rovers, will probably do rubbish again but who cares? Its fun!!
  4. I'm definately up for another game sometime, I played tonight, but not for long though, but just long enough to leave roversismylife with $0!!!!
  5. I always keep an eye on how PNE are doing, I'm from Preston and most of my family are Preston fans.
  6. Yes, all of them. I mean you might have to go up a couple of steps but they are really not that high. Don't worry about it. What you saying? So which pubs will let you in, in team colours? You'll be able to get in places like Walkabout and the Sports bar, the Sawyers Arms on Deansgate might let you in, the Oyster Bar or the Old Wellington in Exchange Square behind Marks and Spencers will probably be ok too.
  7. I love Terrorvision, my Mum went to Uni with Tony Wright's sister and she took me to Liverpool with her one night to see them in concert, we went backstage after and there was much free alcohol to be drunk which was nice!!
  8. If anyone is plannign on going in the Moon under the water, I don't think they will let you in with football shirts on! I was in there one Saturday about midday, and the bouncers were asking people to open their jackets to see if they had footy shirts on and weren't letting them in if they did!
  9. I've looked at the map and I know where you mean now, thanks.
  10. Wish I'd have known about that! I love 808 State, saw them in Manchester on New Years Eve a couple of years ago, they were so good.
  11. I'm really pleased, he is someone who the players and fans seem to have a lot of respect for. I don't think he'll be able to do too mcuh before Saturdays game though, but I expect his arrival will have boosted the players morale somewhat!
