  1. Now that Rovers have won every match they played in October, what do you think the chances are of Sparky getting Manager of the Month?
  2. Good signing IMO. I've always rated him - he's looked solid every time I've seen him.
  3. Here's what Benni had to say for himself. Looks a great signing to me. http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,1...1369454,00.html
  4. I think this is a good move in the short term - he's a quality player who can add some much needed creativity to our attack. There aren't any other free agents with his quality and Premiership experience that I can think of.
  5. This is great news for the club. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Sparky can make his mark at this level and feel a lot more positive about the future. I'm sure we'll see many more happy faces before the match on Saturday (and hopefully even happier after the match!). The atmosphere around the club has been a little deflated for a while and to be honest this is the best thing that has happened to Rovers for some time. As usual, Rovers have conducted themselves very professionally since Magnum's departure and JW must be given a lot of credit for the way he has handled such a delicate situation with the FAW. For once, it seems that the board, the players and the fans got the man they wanted. I know he hasn't managed a club side before, let alone one in the Premiership, but I'm confident that he's the right man for us at this point in time. Come on you Blues!
  6. Even a day after it's a bit of a shock. He did very well initially for Rovers but last season was frustrating. I'm a little sad to see him go, he's given us some great memories (promotion, Worthy Cup, 6th place) but I think him leaving may not be a bad thing at all as desperately need some new ideas. On the plus side, we've managed to get compensation for someone who was increasingly under pressure and was potentially facing the sack. His recent team selections and formations smacked of someone who was beginning to panic (although he's always gone for unusual selections and tactics). However, I'll miss his touchline antics and post match interviews (when he was calm enough to give one!).
  7. It has to be Strachan or Sparky for me. Strachan's my preferred option - his post match interviews should keep us all entertained. Jewell or Newell may well do a job for us but I have my doubts about them right at this moment. In a few years time maybe... The one person I could not stand to see as manager is Hoddle. I can't see him doing a job at Rovers (or anywhere else for that matter).
