  1. Yes we all saw him, he stopped us in the street and told us to watch him. He then pulled a plant out from in his coat and placed it on his head. He walked down the canal for a bit as we was cheering him on behind him. He stopped and put his hand out expecting money. Reading some of the posts on here we seemed to get lucky as far as the trains were concerned, as we went straight to the stadium although the train home was a killer. The organisation in the ground like many have said was a shambles as my mate went to the toilet 20 minutes in and was not allowed back into the stands until half time. This was while i was gettin squashed in the bottom wondering were he was. We managed to climb up a few rows in the second half and i have got to say its one of the best 45 minutes ever due to the outstanding support. And what a song we adopted as well This was a fantastic trip for all Rovers fans and the atmosphere in the ground was amazing
  2. And did anyone see Jordan? I didn't and I didn't hear him either. Has he broken his consecutive run? No he hasn't i saw him at half time!! Good win today, great goal by Nonda and the all round performance was pretty good despite being put under quite alot of second half pressure. Should now give the confidence to the players to go and finish the tie off on thursday so we can look forward to a few more european matches.
  3. I think Sunderland will be up for it after they have just got a late equaliser against spurs. Darryl Murphy i think who got it. Even so i think we should win comfortably but i have got a bad feeling about the game.
  4. It was 2-0 at The Hawthorns. Dwight Yorke penalty, then duffer rounding things off 4 minutes later.
  5. Fat Sam is on Goals on Sunday this morning so expect more rubbish coming from his mouth.
  6. and who was it who after the goal grabbed me and hugged me?? I think you might find that was me. I somehow found myself right near you as like everybody I went mental. What a great match, our fans were fantastic and who ever thought of the chant "Shoes up if you love your team" is a legend. We didnt stop singing all night even when we kept missing all the chances and started to think this just might not be our night. We got a bit of luck with Kuqi's (Who was magnificent) shot deflecting into Dickov's path but that was the least we deserved. Well done lads same again on monday
  7. The station is about a 10 - 15 minute walk away from the ground. And it is pretty straight forward as you stay on the same path until you get to the asda at robin park then you just walk past all the shops and you cant miss the ground. I wouldn't advise anyone to try and get there by walking down the canal as its just as long and you might find youself bumping into a few nasty pie eaters. (We did the last time we played them in the friendly a few years back) I cant wait for this game as it might finally shut all the Wigan fans I know up as I have took enough stick of them since August. And plus its only a 60p bus ride away from my house Come on Rovers
  8. Went absolutely mental. Thompsons goal was something else. The other two were good finishes also.
  9. Just watched all the coverage at Old Trafford before the West Brom match tonight and all the players from 68 were out and the present players to. Was very good seeing all the Best posters in the air during the minutes silence. R.I.P George Best
  10. Talking of our players in the Championship. Paul Gallagher has just got Stoke's second.
  11. Yes he was. The Lonsdale logo was on the neck at the front. The badge was in the middle with the sponsor underneath in the same style as the two kits. But in the second half Enckelman wore a plain green top with just the Lonsdale logo.
  12. My first game was Swindon Town at Ewood on the 26th March 1994 when I was 5 years old. The game finished 3 - 1 to the Rovers. Shearer got two and Sherwood got the other. Jan-Aage Fjortoft scored for Swindon. I only remember Shearer's second goal from the game a shot from outside the box infront of the Darwen End. So that makes it 12 years of following the Rovers and watching for 11 of them. And even though sometimes its depressing I'll never stop watching the boys in blue and white.
  13. I have seen above and thats why I have took no notice of you. As i think your talking crap. People get bored when its 0-0 on Super Sunday etc. We finally get an action packed game but we still have someone who is not satisfied.
  14. Even though i dont really like any of the teams it was a fantastic match to watch. It was the best Premier League match for a while so lets hope for more games like that before the season ends.
