  1. Sorry - not even checked this thread. Rover_groo, have PM'd you.
  2. Got quite a lot of home programmes from the last couple of seasons if anyone wants them. Free if you collect them (Blackburn) but will post if you want to pay postage.
  3. The LET is reporting today that we are in talks with Birmingham to try and hijack the Bolton bid. I assume that is where Rock FM have picked it up from - it's not on the LET site as yet. It does say: 'However, Rovers have not made an offer deemed acceptable by the Blues as yet, so unless they up the ante over the weekend they are likely to miss out on the 27 year old......Rovers have tried to structure some kind of appearance related deal , but Birmingham are demanding more up front and so far only Bolton are prepared to meet those demands.'
  4. I Think this has been a great result and the team as a whole played well. Up front Bellamy was amazingly quick - I knew he was fast but Christ on a bike he left everybody else looking like they were having a jog in the park. His finishing was good and I think that we will soon see him knocking them in the league. I agree with the previous posts RE Dickov - He seemed lacking in sharpness (although that could be just lack of games) and his passing was well off. I Thought Emerton had a reasonable game nothing too outstanding but a solid performance (although he still did too many runs then stop and turn round). Bentley showed touches of brilliance although I think he tended to drift inside quite a lot and was a little quiet. He did try a great little lob and was unfortunate to see the ball bounce off the roof of the net. He is shaping up to be a good player and with a few more games under his belt will undoubtedly will be an asset for the team. In the centre Savage had his usual game gave 100% closed down early and generally worked his socks off. If he did a couple of sloppy passes then it is a small price to pay for the good he does during the rest of the game. Tugay had his usual game (and once of twice was showboating) although I thought he did show his age in the latter parts of the second half and looked tired. I thought Gray had a good game especially after so long out and going forward helped out on that left hand side. On the other side Neill looked a little shy at going forward but other than that seemed to have a reasonable game. Nelsen and Zurab both had reasonable games and there was nothing really to complain about. Fiedel did seem unusually jittery and indecisive but did pull off a couple of good saves. I do have praise left for Huddersfield both the team and their fans - the team came with intension of playing football and winning the game and there was none of the going to ground when a Blackburn player looked in their direction like we are seeing with some premiership opposition. The Huddersfield fans we a credit - they sang and cheered their team and totally drowned out the home support at times and at the end of the game you would have thought they were the winners for the cheers they gave their team.
  5. I for one will be going down on saturday - it's always good to watch games @ Ewood regardless of who is playing and seeing England @ Ewood is a major bonus regardless of whether it's Womens fooball or not.
  6. I have just heard that Todd is contemplating taking action against a number of national newspapers. If this is true good on him - as fans we should launch a class action against the Express on Sunday (I think) which call Blackburn fans a group of one eyed freaks ithink it was - As I have 2 eyes (albeit with glasses) surely this is classed as slander and I am due compensation!!
  7. Whoever plays I'll be there even if it just 2 monkeys and a fish.
  8. Just to add my two penneth worth I think that Amo is not the greatest defender in the league and on purely footballing terms we now have better options and so we should try to release him over summer. This does not take account of the fact that I think he is a very nice guy who always seems to have time for the fans.
  9. Just a quick question - has anybody who ordered their tickets on TUesday when the systems were down actually recieved them yet? or heard when they should be coming?
  10. Having just heard that Rovers are now able to change shirt designs every season (due to them being dirt cheap in comparison to some clubs) I thought I would start the thread for new designs rumours wild suppositions early. Has anyone got any Ideas for the Away shirt I personally would like a rerun of the Black & Red stripes (a la AC Milan) .
  11. I have always thought Garner was overrated and after reading the posts for Briggs and Southworth it will be a tough call - but I think that anyone who can score 6 goals in 1 half (Briggs) is always going to get my vote.
  12. Dunny a playboy from Great Harwood - Now you're just making things up - He'll never leave Rovers
  13. I've heard from a reliable source it's giong to be a Deano Kit
  14. expect more announcements in the next cuople of days - what the bloody hell do they think we are doing sitting here waiting for an announcement
