  1. Probably but I think we have a better chance now their play off dream is over.
  2. They lost, they will know they can’t realistically make it. If Hull can beat Ipswich at weekend, they will need a win at Plymouth and Norwich will need a win at B’ham. A good night.
  3. 2 2 now. We really need a Hull winner for a number of reasons, put Cov out of the running, keep Hull engaged and requiring a win at Plymouth last day and keep Norwich needing points at Big club on last day.
  4. Coventry have three games remaining after this evening’s fixture. Notwithstanding this, If they lose tonight then they aren’t making the play offs.
  5. Thanks to the momentum we handed to Wednesday on Sunday, the greatest escape looks very much on. As such, playing at home, I make them strong favourites against a decent Albion team, but one already secure in their play off berth. Hope I am wrong and now they have something to lose, hope Wednesday now start feeling the pressure.
  6. A friend of mine who is a big Newport County fan and very knowledgeable, sent me a text when we had signed O’Riordan saying he was a very good player. Obviously, we have barely seen him in a Blue and white shirt yet but he has certainly picked him as one for the future.
  7. He will fit like a glove down at Brockhall then ! If he is that bad, why is he at Liverpool ?
  8. Great article Rich, I think you have it nailed it. For me, despite the poor form from December, JDT was the answer. He and his ambition scared the hell out of Swag and the other idiots behind the scenes at Ewood. If they had backed him last year we would have at least made the play offs and if they had backed him in the summer with a reasonable transfer kitty and salary budget, he would have taken us close again. They tried to crush his ambition and infectious enthusiasm and it became untenable for him and with him leaving, I really do worry about the future of our once great club. Scandalous.
  9. I struggle to see us taking another point. If B’ham lose mid-week but beat Norwich, they will very likely finish above us.
  10. Norwich may well have secured a play off berth by then and change the whole team. Their manager has form for doing this, indeed it was his and Huddersfield’s generosity that saw big club stay up at our expense in the Mowbray relegation season.
  11. Said the same thing when those enforced changes were made but we didn’t lay a glove on them 😡
  12. Yep, add that to their very late win at Wolves in the last round. Our record of coming from behind to grab a late equaliser or winner in a pressure match, indeed almost any match, is absolutely lamentable. We really do have a spineless bunch currently wearing the shirt but it seems endemic and pervaded for years.
  13. First class piece and is how I think all Rovers fans, those still attending and the dormant many, see it.
