  1. I would say yes. He can do a decent job anywhere along the back four. Which makes him a good squad player. He is a good solid defender, shame about his ability to get sent off though.
  2. If only..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hIMc1LLT8k...related&search= I think that if we created areas that encouraged signing etc.. more and more people would visit ewood. Why not try it we have 10,000 spare seats. Have an area in the darwen end were signing and standing is encouraged. Also on another note have a peaceful area no swearing etc... for when you have to take the kids. Make going to the Rovers fun even if the football match is poor. I know most fans, me included only get vocal when there is something to shout about but if I was given a kick and eveyone else was singing I defo would. Just a thought......
  3. Yeah, I could get them for you. We are flying to Amsterdam on Wed should arrive about 9ish. I could get the tickets for you on Wed if that helps. Give me a shout if needs be. You would need to let me know by Tuesday at the latest. I will give you my mobile no if required.
  4. Got our 3 tickets today We are wondering whether to prebook the tickets for the train from Amsterdam. Although from what I hear trains run every 15mins so it should be OK to buy on the day. Has anybody else prebooked?
  5. Is it not the case Sports World own the commercial rights to sell Rovers branded items for the next 10 years?
  6. Yes Apart from the linesmen who were absolutley shocking. I'm sure Bennie Mac would agree. I agree with what you say though and I for one am savouring every moment. I give us 2-3 more seasons in the prem if the crowds don't pick up. That is unless we can produce a few gems from the academy.
  7. The ticket office told me there had been approx 1000 applications for tickets up to now. I should think anybody who wants a ticket will get one
  8. Yes it was £4 in 90/91 season and then £5 91/92 and then the almighty jump to £7 92/93. Well at least it was in the Bburn End and Bburn End "Super Atko" Enclosure.
  9. League cup! onee nilll to the Nationwide, onee nilll.....
  10. 3 of us booked flying from Liverpool to Amsterdam Wednesday night coming back Sunday. Happy days!!!
  11. Yeah not so funny also. I have to ask though what is it your fighting for? can't handle your beer? If it's a fight your after you have a bad draw with Rovers, most of us just want the 3 points! Besides we aren't allowed to fight we get the weight of the world thrown at us. The joys of being an English fan in Europe I guess. Those vids don't do much for tourism in Rotterdam. possibly why a lot of people from Blackburn seem to be staying in Amsterdam. CMON ROVERS!!! 1-0 Rovers - Emerton with a cracker me thinks!!!
  12. funny one... http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...776&q=feyenoord not so funny one... http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...015&q=feyenoord Was just wondering which kit Rovers are going to wear for this one??? Both clash!!!!! I'm booking tommorow...Happy days!!!! Will be staying in Amsterdam!!!
  13. That was the first home European tie were I have felt we were up for it. I don't just mean the crowd but the managment as well. Thank you Mr Hughes and co I am a very proud man tonight. I have been to all the european games at ewood, as I imagine many people on here have, and I can honestly say that last night it felt like one of those special european nights that they talk about on TV when usually Liverpool are playing. Full credit to everybody who turned up. Hats off to you all. When Rovers qualified for Europe for the first time and we were drawn against Trelleborg I was at the ticket office at 7am thinking it would be a sell out. Call me an idiot if you will but I was so excited and presumed everybody else would be. That night was a big disappointment seeing us draw with a team who had to borrow our shorts. I as a Blackburn Boy born and bred. I am immensley proud tonight and will be smiling for weeks at that victory tonight. I understand that the premiership is our bread and butter but tonight felt like Blackburn standing up and saying "Yes we are small, and no we don't have a mozart or anybody close but F***********CK YOU!! you we are a small town but we are proud and successful and your not going to take that away from us" LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s please Mr Draw maker let us draw teams that cost less than £250 to visit and have cheap beer Love you Rovers xxx p.p.s I also must give credit the "urr urr urrrr come on and do the Nonda" people (To the tune of the konga) highly amusing I was singing it all the way home lol
