The popular fan-run Blackburn Rovers supporters website BRFCS.com has announced that it has adopted the Trussell Trust affiliated Blackburn Foodbank as its charity partner for 2025/26.
BRFCS spotted the excellent work that Blackburn Foodbank undertakes and is delighted to reveal that a specific JustGiving page has been set up by Blackburn Foodbank to help them raise money for their Winter Appeal.
This is what Blackburn Foodbank is aiming to achieve:-
“This year we're asking for 'A LITTLE or a LOT', we know that it's not easy to help others if things are tight in your own pocket. So, we are asking for:-
LITTLE donations - £2.50 - £10 can help us put fresh vegetables on peoples' plates throughout the winter season.
MEDIUM donations - £25 - £50 can help us buy steel toe-capped boots for our volunteers to save their toes when lifting heavy crates of food and potentially dropping them.
LOT donations - £50 upwards can help us achieve the huge goal of buying a walk in fridge, which we really need to help keep food fresher for longer.
At Blackburn Foodbank, we’re here to ensure that no one has to face hunger alone. But we can’t do it without your help. Your donations will provide essential food and support to those in need during this critical time. Together, we can make a real difference and bring hope to those facing hardship this winter.
Please give what you can to help us support those most vulnerable in our community. Every donation counts. 💙”
A spokesman for BRFCS said “We admire the terrific work being undertaken by Blackburn Foodbank and after speaking with them, we thought that they were ideal charity partners for us. Times are hard for so many families so to be able to help them to achieve their goals, especially in the run up to Christmas is wonderful. We have donated £250 to kick start the appeal but would be delighted if any of our forum members and/or social media followers could help them to achieve their ambitious appeal target.”
BRFCS will work with Blackburn Foodbank for the remainder of the season so keep an eye out for future fundraising endeavours.
Here is that JustGiving page once again. Please donate whatever you can to help those less fortunate…
