Yet to beat AFC Wimbledon. Can we do it Tuesday night? Wimbledon v Rovers Preview

Blackburn Rovers fresh from a important win at Walsall are back on the road once again, this time for a midweek clash against AFC Wimbledon at their place. Rovers have yet to win against Wimbledon, however the sides have only met one time at that was the home tie against them earlier in the season, when Blackburn dominated the game but one chance fell Wimbledon's way and they took it. Hopefully Blackburn can get revenge midweek and even the score and bag the 3 points that will keep us

No Dack in Attack, who cares... we have got Danny Graham - Walsall v Blackburn (1-2)

Blackburn Rovers remain in top spot after a tough match against Walsall.  Rovers had to play without their creative wizard Bradley Dackk as he was out sick. Rovers goals came from Danny Graham in the 1st half, however Walsall made it interesting with a goal on the half time whistle. Rovers held on for all 3 points, and take them back to Ewood Park.  Next up for Blackburn another tricky away match at AFC Wimbledon. So after the midweek fixtures, Rovers are now officially in the promotion spots having played the same amount of games as our closest rivals Shrewsbury Town who failed to beat Bradley Dack's old club Gillingham. Rovers must now switch their attention to Walsall this weekend and hope to bag another win to extend their pressure on the chasing pack.  Dont get me wrong, their will be trips and turns along the way, and I expect Blackburn to stumble at some point, I just hope we can build a cushi

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE - Rovers vs Bury Review

Blackburn Rovers are finally top of League One after a hard fought and scrappy 2-0 home victory over strugglers Bury. Bury came into the match on a nice run of form, and Rovers were looking for back to back wins after securing 3 points against Portsmouth last time out.  Rovers secure top spot thanks to goals from Danny Graham and Adam Armstrong.  The Gaffa dabbled with a new formation, but the 1st half was not a pretty one.  Things got better for Rovers early in the 2nd half, as we fin

Win and we go top! Plain & Simple Rovers vs Bury Preview

OK folks it comes down to this, pure and simple... Rovers need to beat Bury and they will be top of the league.  Thats right TOP OF THE LEAGUE. However even at this early stage it means nothing at all, but it would be great to make some other teams squirm for a bit.  Both Shrewsbury and Wigan have had decent periods at the top, it could be our time to have a moment in the sun. Rovers could see some players return to the starting eleven such as Darragh Lenihan, and maybe Marcus Antonsso

Blackburn Rovers snatch all 3 points after a hard fought 2-1 away win against a resilient Portsmouth.  Rovers headed south on Valentines Day eve with the hope of trying to keep up the pace with the top 2, and they did that and more. Rovers Miss Opportunity with Draw - Blackburn v Oldham (2-2) Review

Blackburn Rovers returned to Ewood Park to take on Oldham Athletic with the possibility to get back in to the top 2.  However that was not meant to be.  As Oldham managed to hold the hosts to a 2-2 draw. To make matters worse for Rovers, other sides in the promotion race also lost which would have been a prime time to capitalize, but it was not Blackburn’s day.  In fact Rovers could have walked away with nothing, as they were 2 goals down at half time.  Rovers came out of the blocks in the

Rovers leave with nothing as Argyle dominate - Plymouth v Blackburn Review

Blackburn failed to keep up the pressure with the top2 as they lost to an in form Plymouth Arygle team. The result leaves Blackburn in 3rd place which is outside the automatic promotion spots and if the season ended today we would have to settle for a playoff spot. Rovers were woeful and in fact I think it was the worst performance all season.  Hear the thoughts from the manager, the fans and more. Transfer Window Shut & Rovers on the Long and Winding Road to Plymouth. Argyle vs Rovers Preview

Blackburn Rovers head on the long road to take on Plymouth Argyle this weekend, with the prospect of possibly topping the league. In order for that to happen Blackburn need to win, and also need to see Wigan and Shrewsbury lose. That being said, it still going to be a difficult match as Plymouth are in much better shape than what they where when they made their long trip North to Ewood Park earlier in the season. Meanwhile, the transfer window has slammed shut, in this preview, I

Blackburn brought their A game on Tuesday night as they defeated Walsall 3-1 thanks to goals from Danny Graham (x2) and Bradley Dack.
