On to the next one. Rovers vs Walsall - Preview

Blackburn Rovers return to league action hoping to rectify the errors of Saturday where they failed to put their chances in the back of the net. Walsall, who are at the wrong end of the table look to continue the recent trend of team who come to Ewood Park and park the bus and settle for a point. Rover still on a good unbeaten run, but need to start getting victories instead of draws, can we start a new run from Tuesday? Thoughts from me, the fans and of course the cat. For m

Opportunity missed!! Blackburn vs Northampton (1-1) Match Review

Blackburn Rovers had the chance to close the gap on 1st place Wigan Athletic if they could win at Ewood Park against strugglers Northampton Town. However it was not meant to be, as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's team managed to get a cheeky breakaway goal and sat back for the majority of the game.  Fortunately for Rovers we had the attacking options on the bench to change things, and it eventually happened thanks to an in form Danny Graham. 1-1 score in the end and the points shared.  The r

Rovers look to close the gap on leaders Wigan Athletic this weekend, with the latics in FA Cup action.  If Rovers win they could be as little as just 2 points adrift of the top spot. Standing in their way are Northampton Town, and Rovers would look to avenge their piss poor performance against Northampton over the Christmas break. Hear the thoughts from myself, fans and of course the cat. Match will take place at Ewood Park and we could see full debuts for Alan Armstrong, Jack Pay

Rovers produce epic performance to beat Shrewsbury 3-1 Review

Blackburn Rovers upped their game as they played their most important match of the season, against 2nd place Shrewsbury Town. Rovers coming out on top in a impressive 3-1 win, thanks to goals from Cpt Fantastic Charlie Mulgrew (x2) and one from on form Danny Graham. The win closes the gap on Shrewsbury to just 2 points, and with Wigan dropping points we close in on them too. Thoughts from the Gaffa, the fans, players and me. 2018 League 1 Final Table Prediction

https://youtu.be/ezCgD0AEHlA Blackburn Rovers have reached the half way mark in the season, so I thought I would join in with all the fun and try and predict the outcome for Blackburn Rovers and the rest of the League 1 teams. Will Rovers make the top 2?  The Playoffs? Champions?  Relegation? Surely not the last one. Anyway, I spent a small amount of time working through the remaining fixtures of the 2017-2018 League 1 season and these are my results. For more informatio

Rovers start 2018 with a wimper - Rotherham v Blackburn (1-1) - Review

https://youtu.be/9GKLpp0NGZ0 Blackburn Rovers started 2018 in unimpressive style as they could only pick up a draw agains Red Hot Rotherham United. Rovers thought they had won all 3 points thats to a cracking goal by Bradley Dack however they were undone right at the death as Rotherham United equalized from a corner. Thoughts from Tony, the fans and more can be heard right here on my post match review. Next up for Rovers is an FA Cup clash against Hull City, but next up in th

Rovers end 2017 with a 4 goal thriller... but only take home a point. Rovers vs Scunny Review

https://youtu.be/MnNnnpLIH28 Blackburn Rovers ended 2017 with a home match against Scunthorpe United in a top 4 league one clash. Despite Rovers unbeaten run, they could not end the year with a win at Ewood Park and had to settle for a share of the points with 4th place Scunthorpe. Danny Graham was the hero for Rovers as he scored both goals for Blackburn, however Scunthorpe equalized on both occasions.  Rovers defensive blunders cost them all 3 points, however they need to dust t

Buy, Sell or Keep - January Transfer Window

The 2018 January transfer window is about to open, what does Tony Mowbray have in store for players coming in and what about players leaving Ewood Park? We might have a quick window or we might be one of the busiest teams in the division.  Here are my thoughts on which players will be leaving Ewood Park in January 2018. As for players coming in...  that is an unopened book.  I am sure Tony Mowbray has his plans in order and will add some depth to the Blackburn Rovers squad. For mo

Back to Winning Ways - Blackburn v Rochdale (2-0) Review

Blackburn Rovers picking up all three points after a scrappy 2-0 win at Ewood Park. Rovers bagging the victory thanks to a scruffy goal which has been credited to Bradley Dack.  Charlie Mulgrew made sure of the points after successfully scoring from the penalty spot before half time. It was not the most impressive performance from Blackburn, in fact you could say Rochdale were the better side.  The win keep Blackburn in the mix for the top 2 spots, and close in on Shrewsbury to one poi

Rovers Last Away Day ends in a frustrating draw - Northampton Town vs Blackburn Rovers Review

Blackburn Rovers looking for win number 7 however that was the case.  Instead Blackburn had to settle for a point away at Northampton Town. Courtesy of a goal from Bradley Dack Rover should have won the match after being awarded a penalty however Marcus Antonsson failed to deliver. Before that incident Rovers had a golden (excuse the pun) opportunity to add to their goal tally as Craig Conway had an open goal opportunity to win it, but he push it wide. The result leaves Blackburn
