  1. Past hour
  2. During the poor start he had, he came across to me as not really being bothered but it's actually that he's very level headed, doesn't get too high or low. The way he has addressed the Brittain situation is spot on, a lot of players have indicated JE was a great man-manager, but it's come to light he covered up the Szmodics situation. Like others, I'm warming to VI - unlike JE he's willing to be honest with the fan base
  3. Usyk is the only one around today that would be able to compete in another era. He fights more like a middleweight or welterweight. It really is something to see. Enjoyed the bout an thought Dubois was starting to come into it until that 5th round. Usyk's counterpunches were unreal though.
  4. I really don't know who the assistants are or the processes they use. I know he is the manager of some Rovers staff at Ewood and they have never even met him.
  5. Canโ€™t see many takers for Buckley to be honest. He has lost his way a bit. He is a great passer, but a bit too lazy.
  6. Interesting that, so how does he send the paperwork through to correct offices? He is the only one with access card for transfers paperwork. How many people work in club secretary office? I know we have assistant club secretary. Been there doing that job for years she has.
  7. It's not really a noteworthy story worth 'reporting' is it.
  8. Disagree. We might have 5 centre midfielders but the quality once you move past Travis and Tronstad is very questionable. I can live with Forshaw as 5th choice but Buckley needs to be sold. He's not a VI type player - sell him and bring one more in.
  9. Isnโ€™t Forshaw considered CM? Tronstad, Trav, Tavares and Forshaw? it will be exciting to see what happens with Buckley. Always held him high in regard and thought he would establish himself, but time is running out.
  10. How is Nicko doing that? His story today is that England are interested in him playing for our national teams. Arsenal interested in him is no surprises given his qualities at his age but Ismael and Rovers want him to stay here. Ismael spent over a minute yesterday post match talking to him about his performance. Doesn't suit our style one bit. Could see him at Derby or Wrexham.
  11. Sean McLaughlin a steady centre half in his prime... hopefully he scores some headers ..he didn't score any for Hull.
  12. Surprised no stories about Brittain- pleasantly surprised. Here's hoping Pape, Ohashi, Leonard and Tyjon all kick on this season as I cannot see the piggy bank stretching to a decent forward even if one or more of Brittain, Tronstad and Travis depart. What has happened to Vale?
  13. It's hard to put into words how good Usyk is but for me he stands alone with a prime Ali as technically the best HW's of all time. I'd argue Ali's era was a bit deeper at the top end than this one and he dominated twice two different versions of him but Usyk honed his own skills dominated arguably the best ever cruiser division. Said at the time though Dubois battering AJ showed more about Joshua and where he's at than actually telling us much we didn't already know about DD. The lad can bang and is all raw aggression but there is little else to him and he cannot handle a good punch. Usyk though a great in any era.
  14. Thanks - Vale released passed me by and mean our striker options are even weaker than I thought. I had him down as a possible saleable asset but I guess injuries wiped that out.
  15. Itโ€™ll be Higgins next week. Bloke never stops.
  16. At this stage of his career, due to his past injuries, I think Leonard needs to go on loan at a club that will guarantee him games each week - even if that is as low as League Two or the National League. He's too far behind Ohashi and Gueye at the moment to be getting regular 90 minutes. He doesn't need to go out and prove anything, as we know he's capable of playing in the Championship, but he just needs constant games and momentum. Getting quite a few goals would be a bonus in my view just for his confidence.
  17. Nixon absolutely determined to sell Tyjon for us.
  18. Definitely need another striker, especially if Leonard isnโ€™t considered up to it or loaned out. Not sure Big Mak fits the style we are looking at tbh. Probably need to be looking for a hardworking striker with a bit of pace, who can press the centre backs quicker.
  19. Indefensible from Rovers. The liaison guy, the actual club secretary works from home......in Brighton.
  20. Still think to cover an injury or just lack of form we would need another striker it could be one of those that itโ€™s not a main priority yet and could b something they look at again in Jan
  21. Hedges got in some good positions yesterday and played the right pass to Brittain for his assist. He played a great weight pass for Ohashi's winner at Luton last season. Plus he has been regular under the previous 2 head coaches and Ismael wanted him to stay this season. we were short in midfield last season cos when injuries hit and we lost Baker aswell, we were short. We need 5 options in there and right now we have this Still need in terms of players in, right sided attacking player, another forward and centre back. if we made those 3 signings, we have 25/26 man squad
  22. I was being sarcastic, I.e the kind of cheap skate thing theyโ€™d do.
  23. you posted this didn't you?
