  1. Past hour
  2. If we start the new season off like we did his tenure with one point from eighteen. will you want him sacked again?
  3. I’m clearly not speculating that we left the Telalovic signing until the last 24 hours. Thats far more fact than someone telling you second hand stuff about JDT signing players off.
  4. We’d just finished outside the play offs to the Premier League and he chose some lad from a German regional league… aye ok.
  5. I assume the deal structure will be around appearances. So a very low fee, but higher fees if he hits certain appearance milestones.
  6. Hmm, I wonder. Maybe because you like to jump on fans that ‘don’t trust the process’, ‘to just give time and patience’… and you will be doing the same again if we go on a bad run this time. Nobody likes hypocrisy.
  7. He signed off on Ennis and he picked Telalovic over a 31 year old La Liga striker. Anything else we can only speculate on what we think happen. They got their striker signings badly wrong that summer we know that
  8. I'd personally steer clear of the Baradji signing and look elsewhere. It's a lot of money by our standards and there are too many red flags re: his fitness and injury status.
  9. There will be a baseline where he'll be getting paid what he's on for his club but paid extra based on appearances.
  10. Nixon saying we’re back in for Bardji. Only now the contract is “pay as you play”. No idea what that means but no way he accepts it. If he does we should immediately convert Caters contract to the same.
  11. Come on Chaddy, that's not a 5 that will get you into the play-offs. We saw what happened last year when Travis and Tronstad were injured.
  12. I can't say I enjoyed the blind, suicide pass to Toth if I'm honest.
  13. How good is Scott Whartons distribution. Thought he was fantastic yesterday.
  14. Yeah, I hate to give up on a player, when we need players. But, he’s already out 4-6 weeks. I don’t see him ever being a healthy, consistent performer for Rovers.
  15. Wonder what we have more of. ‘Head of’s’ or you know, pro footballers.
  16. Just like plenty on here did but for some reason you can't stop mentioning it s why not mention other people who had similar opinion to my at the time?
  17. I’ve just looked this up and apparently even this isn’t a necessity (even though Rovers seem to have always previously done this) My main mistake was assuming that Silvester was replaced ‘like for like’ rather than the role seemingly being downgraded. You’d think I’d know better than to do that but there we go 😁😁
  18. If he wasn’t fit we shouldn’t have brought him in for that situation. Although he was never really injured for Plymouth and had played during December and January for them so why do you think he wasn’t fit? He just couldn’t get in their team. The criticism during January to March was justified. I’d accept someone thinking it was a bit harsh. It certainly wasn’t “wildly exaggerated “. Going forward, as a squad player who we aren’t expecting to need to start then fine, although id prefer someone who is pushing for a first team spot.
  19. More heads than Medusa down there.
  20. Maybe its personal reasons when he hasn't to now if correct he has moved up here. I had a site manager who was moved out cos he wouldn't moved more locally so they forced him out before 6 months down the line going back to him with another job offer and promotion to regional manager Brett Baker wasn't appointed as Club Secretary but head of football administration Statement: Club Secretary | rovers.co.uk
  21. and yet the manager was happy to bring him back. Like I said, he wasn’t fit, as he got fitter he got better. I think the criticism was overblown.
  22. We appointed a bloke from Brighton after Ian Silvester went. He was working from home but it has been said he is now based at Brockhall. Is it not a Company Secretary that needs to be registered at Companies House?
  23. But he wasn’t brought in as a squad player. He was brought in to replace Baker who was 1st reserve for Travis / Tronstadt. Travis was injured so he needed to start immediately. And any other injuries (which happened) meant he would start more. The club was rightly criticised for putting the managers in that position, and the player was rightly criticised as he wasn’t good enough to be starting in those games. So when you say the criticism of his was ‘wildly over-exaggerated ’, I think your way off.
  24. He did want him sacked after a month after all…
  25. Why would we sign a central midfielder (an injured one) to play on the right? And no, its called having an opinion beyond just assuming that if a manager picks a player, its because hes exactly what he wants. Budget restrictions, issues with recruitment etc dont come into it. Still think we are 4 or 5 short. Wanted 6 or 7, lost 2 or 3 that we hadnt factored in. Also still have to sort the futures of Brittain, Tronstad and Travis. We supposedly have "learnt" from previous mistakes
  26. They’d be stealing young talent not promoting it.
