  1. Past hour
  2. Weird how practically every other club in our area has "success against the elements".
  3. Yet still short at centre back where they have 2 options. No back up for the number 6 defensive midfielder role. Spent massively on Isak instead
  4. Nicko reported brought in a pitch drainge expert from Man Utd and Man City who rated the Ewood pitch capable of 60 per cent drainage which is comfortably above EFL regulations. Extra work was done on installing new holes between the surface and the deep soil below.
  5. I led to believe being next to the river shouldn't be an issue. I was down Pleasington playing fields both yesterday and today with local matches being played OK. The river Darwen runs right through here and these are just rec fields and doubt they have any drainage. I didn't think they were that saturated really, certainly nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year.
  6. As the game was not called-off until the second half the same offer as was given for the Ipswich game, will be given.
  7. Rovers 0 Oxford 1 on 60 mins.... 6,658 given as 11,658
  8. I think they should go further still, free entry to all Wednesday fans who travelled and to all Rovers ST holders and walks on who attended and £5 charge for anyone else.
  9. I'm sure the tide will turn for Rovers, and the long suffering faithful at Ewood. We've had our share of bad luck, when we've been playing well.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised, if the Oxford game is cancelled. Heavy rain forecast Tuesday. Another fantastic save from Pears against Sheffield Wednesday, after a pass got stuck in the waterlogged pitch, and a Sheffield Wednesday striker was clean through on goal.
  11. Is this game even going to go ahead? I'd be surprised if the pitch recovers in time for it.
  12. Picks out to make room on the wages and bench for O'Riordan makes sense. I like Pickering i know his limitations but there is no point him sitting there every week not being used and being over looked for crap like De Neve. At least C O'r will be used and add some desperately needed height. Gueye i fear Rovers will end up paying someone to take him or paying him to go, hopefully take his pal Gestede with him.

  14. The Oxford game might be a bit too soon, but what about a rubber duck infestation of the pitch? Given this pitch problem has hit the headlines, it feels like an opportunity to raise awareness that we should not pass up. Looks like we could get around 3,000 for around £350
  15. You know you'll end up going 😁
  16. Cheap as chips, so let’s get our orders in. https://share.google/images/ur1aV6OGSPeJ4F4Dm
  17. Today
  18. “Alan, can you write something to get them excited again after our latest fuck up?”
  19. It’s a perfect opportunity now that this has hit the headline with the waterlogged pitch. Everyone takes a small rubber duck into the ground and throws them onto the pitch.
  20. So the club are loaning Pickering out and selling Gueye to “reduce the wage bill” and will spend a bit on “younger players” see the club still haven’t learnt from mistakes..
  21. A fine gesture towards fans who attended yesterday (including Sheffield Wednesday) would be free entry for the replay and half price for everyone else. What odds above nil are there of that happening?
  22. This week has proven the EFL were correct not to give us the win vs Ipswich, we’ve shown how utterly abject we are at seeing out games and then the farce yesterday emphasised that we are not learning. I’m told the rollers weren’t on at half time? Why not? Why didn’t we have more?
  23. I'm not going to the rematch. Should all make a stand. So instead of them earning more money from one game. They can lose out. And hopefully pick up a fine for not providing an adequate pitch for a championship fixture.
