  1. Past hour
  2. They will be after selling him soon!
  3. First point has to be, we should have been 3 or 4 up by then so the foul and goal shouldn’t have mattered.
  4. That was a top class header today. Most of the chances like that get missed.
  5. Said at the time, missing good chances not good, getting in the right place to miss good chances very good.
  6. Big Dee Irwin - Swinging On A Star
  7. I don't really care what people on the Rovers' payroll say. Seen this play out far too many times before. All that matters is what actually happens. If Cantwell recovers and goes on to play plenty more games in a Rovers shirt then maybe I'll believe it has been a genuine injury. If he plays 5-6 more games for Rovers max and then gets sold and passes a medical elsewhere in January/the summer then no amount of claims will convince me that this isn't a big stitch up from the powers-that-be.
  8. There are things wrong with his game but get him the ball in the box and he score more than any other player we have.
  9. There's no doubt they've chanced their arm with a few, the Championship has been a wake up call for many a foreigner. It does though, look like we might just have signed a proper centre forward for next to nowt.
  10. No but they'll be leaving this time with a few goals and a point or three.
  11. He’s scored some real strikers goals. That one today was terrific.
  12. at a normal club id`e just write these rumours off as bull****,rovers are a different case, our owners and their bumboy pasha are quite capable of doing to cantwell what they did to salgado years ago, don`t play him because we`ll have to pay his appearance quota fee/wage rise
  13. No transfer system leads to every signing working out. It certainly isnt my expectation. The issue with our "transfer system" is the quantity of duds, and these arent players who are just a bit underwhelming, the issue is quite how bad they are. Miles off the standard, and no awareness of managing a game properly.
  14. With the way the transfer system looks like used/deployed/whatever word you want to use, the signings aren't all going to work, that should be obvious.
  15. The Fall - Big New Prinz
  16. From his social media account just now
  17. He ain't done a lot wrong today until the same old stupid subs that don't fit what we are doing and are crap anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if he's told he has to get Gueye on for mins so when they try and move him his stats look better. De Neve obviously comes on for energy because he can get up and down but that is cancelled out by the fact he's brainless. 2 decent for this level - by our current standards -proven left sided defenders on the bench but he always throws a the wing back who can't defend on to compensate for who he takes off. Never works and neither does Gueye whose gone from being offside the entire time to getting more involved but giving it away all the time because he can't control a football. Why keep doing the same thing that doesn't work it's absolutely brainless especially if you want to take the sting out of a game and hang on.
  18. Yep. It’s just the manner we conceded. I guess it’s part and parcel of the championship.
  19. It was such a strange feeling immediately after the full time whistle. Of course the majority (and me) would have taken a draw at 3 o'clock but their late equaliser, for a short time made it feel like a defeat. Once again our away form has totally eclipsed our home form as we played really well and kept a one dimensional Wrexham team to virtually nothing until the last ten or so minutes. And if Ohashi had made a better decision when clean through we could have been in the box seat. The performance was energetic, pacy and purposeful as we looked comfortable. The excellent finish from Gudjohnsen was deserved I thought as with a bit more composure and care could have gone in at half time further ahead. Wrexham were better in the second half but really huffed and puffed and I felt quite comfortable defending the one goal lead. That was until the linesman wanted to make a name for himself by giving a ridiculous decision against us as Hedges was far to strong for the Wrexham player. In fairness the referee allowed a fair level of physicality so the linesman was completely out of kilter with how the game was being refereed. Poor from him. The only criticism I can offer is that we looked tired in the last ten minutes and lost a little but of shape but that aside I was really happy. Forshaw was great. The biggest compliment I can pay him is that he was almost at Tronstad levels for large parts. The changes we made were needed due to some fatigue but it shows how weak we are as a squad looking at some of the players coming on. All in all I'm happy with our days work.
  20. He’s ‘open and honest’, remember, certainly no shilling for the regime here and he definitely wouldn’t throw his players under the bus whilst doing so.
  21. Went there hoping for a point and got it.
  22. thanks Rev. Maybe it is overconfidence on reflection but I think it is founded on us a) being in a lot of games. We've not looked vastly out of place in many games. Sure, thats sometimes being as bad as the opposition, but we don't look vastly inferior. And b) we are doing way better than I thoihjt we would. Given the exodus of talent and experience and the paper thin squad i figured we would do a lot worse than we have done. As it is, we're still picking up points and aren't struggling like Wednesday are (which outside of the penalty points, was form i thought we would replicate). Another game where we got a point, and could/should have got more, adds to the optimism. That said I can see that there is a strong case to argue the opposite too, especially when considering Venkys self sabotage as well. So yes, maybe overconfident, but its certainly not the certainty I feared with all the changes. And with only 2 spots to play for - which is huge - and some weak teams around us I think we'll still stay up.
