  1. Past hour
  2. thanks Rev. Maybe it is overconfidence on reflection but I think it is founded on us a) being in a lot of games. We've not looked vastly out of place in many games. Sure, thats sometimes being as bad as the opposition, but we don't look vastly inferior. And b) we are doing way better than I thoihjt we would. Given the exodus of talent and experience and the paper thin squad i figured we would do a lot worse than we have done. As it is, we're still picking up points and aren't struggling like Wednesday are (which outside of the penalty points, was form i thought we would replicate). Another game where we got a point, and could/should have got more, adds to the optimism. That said I can see that there is a strong case to argue the opposite too, especially when considering Venkys self sabotage as well. So yes, maybe overconfident, but its certainly not the certainty I feared with all the changes. And with only 2 spots to play for - which is huge - and some weak teams around us I think we'll still stay up.
  3. Do they start with 10 men and a goal down?
  4. New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
  5. Fair enough to andri Gudjohnsen. Proving to be a quality player who can actually finish. Yes, in previous games he should’ve or could’ve buried a few chances but 5 in his last 7, in his first season in English football ain’t too bad. 100% gets it off his dad. Well done to the recruitment team on this one.
  6. He could had been a little bit more careful in that situation knowing that there was one min to get three huge points. He's one of our oldest players but you do question it... Todd is our captain so why should there be an issue.. think he will be back for Tuesday.
  7. Precisely my point and different manager would not have lost that QPR game in the manner we did. They would not have blamed a terrible performance on Tronstad being out, simply because in reality he got his selection and subs wrong.
  8. Good spot, given the depressing way the match ended, think we had all probably overlooked this.
  9. Despite what happened at Soton, Will Still is still (will) a level above what we can hope for, should VI walk away.
  10. The seeds are being sown… I can’t believe some people think he is honest.
  11. He's a bad tactician and a terrible man manager. Not a great talent to have under a captainless ship in the boardroom and a still-in-school COO with too much control. I think they'll try to give Will Still the job soon and he'll turn it down.
  12. Not that it’s much comfort but the run of away defeats to promoted clubs has ended. Next one to begin in a fortnight??
  13. Forshaw played well today, he should have be in against QPR, Hickman and Montgomery was never going to be enough to compensate for the loss of Tronstrad.
  14. Odd comments on Cantwell - looks a bit awkward when asked..….
  15. I know it’s only been a couple of days but have you changed your mind yet?
  16. As I said after the last game, major excuse culture under this manager. Last match was all about Tronstad being missing apparently.... well he didn't play today either did he Val? A good manager would say we have to learn how to manage a game better, retain the ball in key areas and see out the win. Some important home fixtures coming up... Get him gone before it's too late!
  17. Exactly the cliché that's used when players are under offer or being hawked around for sale. Do we have players in the team that should play even if they aren't "right in their mind"? What "type" of player is this, versus whatever "type" Cantwell supposedly is?
  18. Seems odd to me that the Wrexham player would personally speak to Ismael after the game and admit it wasn't a free kick. I'm curious as to exactly what was said and why. I get the feeling some context might be missing. At the end of the day if our home form wasn't so shocking we wouldn't be in a position where a good point away from home isn't enough, regardless of circumstances. Of the teams below us we've lost to Norwich, Swansea and Sheffield United at home. We haven't played any of the others at Ewood yet. Keep losing to relegation rivals at home and that will do us in, not last minute draws away from home. The fact we're even in a relegation scrap after finishing 7th last season is disgraceful in of itself. No comment on that from Val, though. He's incensed to even be asked such a question, apparently.
  19. Venkys are definitely on the naughty list.
  20. I love Yuki's work ethic but his finishing this season has been absolutely woeful. He has missed countless good chances, generally when he has time to think, his only goals have been first time reaction efforts and the deflection at Hull. We might have got lucky with Gudjonsson though, he's scoring goals and missing chances but is always getting in the right areas.
  21. we cant keep dropping points like that away from home as we dont seem to be able to get anything at home.
  22. What was stupid about Hedges? All I saw was a terrible decision from a linesman
  23. lol the faint "wheeyyyyy" in the background as the cross goes deep but finds its target lmao
  24. Squads not big enough to allow rotation so players are rushed back or playing through injury for 2/3 matches in a week. Many of us foolish fans could see it months ago.
  25. Harsh on Hedges, it was a very soft free kick. Lack of quality finishing, poor squad depth & a manager insistent on making subs for the sake of it has cost us 3 points in the last 2. Why change the entire front 3 who all played really well. Their replacements were & are nowhere near the standard. The rest of the team were excellent, even Pears! He’s got shit hair but we don’t care 😂
