  1. Past hour
  2. Littler has a relatively easy quarter compared to some of the others, but should be tasty from the semis onwards.
  3. not this again, JDT signed off on Telalovic and he could have signed that other striker plus Ennis. Maybe he should have just sign one striker instead with Gallagher and Leonard.
  4. It wouldn't be a surprise if he got say 7. I'd be quite surprised if he got more than the 9 he managed last season. I dont see him as a 15 goal a season striker. Even if he did, we still need far more unless everyone starts chipping in from all over the pitch which they haven't done to date.
  5. As Aspinall won this in 2023, it comes off his ranking points so he will be at best 23rd in the world after this tournament ends. Shows how quickly you can start falling in the rankings
  6. never included Buckley in that 5. Travis, Tronstad, Montgomery, Forshaw and Tavares is the 5 maybe not for yourself cos it suits you I said this morning we need 3 more signings in now, a centre back, right side attacking player and striker. Plus any replacement if Travis, Pears, Tronstad or Brittain leaves that's gives us 26 players in the squad. Won't Baradji be that right side attacking player if he signs here? is it? so JDT and Eustace told you this? Both picked him regularly
  7. Cantwell looked in very good shape yesterday. Worked hard, and it was his burst in to the box that enabled De Neve tap in. Didn’t see that sort of sprint from him last season, I think he’s going to be a key player this year. Needs to be more selfish with pop shots, But a fitter, sharper Cantwell could easily add this to his game. Still needs a back up for him as he won’t be able to play every game
  8. Depends on the fee he'd fetch and who' would be brought in to replacement. Difficult to gauge as there's been no obvious interest in him to date.
  9. I do agree - I've made the joke a few times that if he looked like Steve McDonald he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter.
  10. Lets see how he plays this season after a full pre season and we need Cantwell to be the playmaker if Travis and Tronstad are our Centre midfielders as starters
  11. Fell Val can get the best out of him his best form in a rovers shirt was end of last season and albeit a friendly yesterday he was excellent in the first half
  12. If Hayden Carter plays 20 games this season it’ll be unbelievable. That squad is so thin it’s scary!
  13. And Iv stated why it’s a fair assumption Ohashi will
  14. I think we need a striker with abit pace, given us something different up front to Ohashi and Gueye. I think Ohashi will suit Ismael's style and I think he will get 15 goals this season if he stays fit
  15. Not this again. Remind us again how many days and weeks were left in the transfer window when JDT, having asked for strikers all summer, was given this amazing choice? If he had said no then there was no striker incoming, so he was given a choice between two players who weren’t up to it.
  16. He doesn't do it. He wanders into too many unthreatening areas of the pitch trying to be a playmaker and his finishing/shooting is awful. He's a flashes of brilliance player but those bits of ability aren't in the final third enough.
  17. Hmmmm..... let it go Simon. He's an important player for us who will be missed badly if he goes. I think you know this
  18. Didn't say 5. Said 5-10. Same as last season.
  19. Ohashi got 9 last season so not sure why 5 would be associated with him. Nothing is guaranteed of course but given his had a full pre season and not a half a season behind him it’s a fair assumption to make he will get over the 10 goals this season thag said another striker in would be helpful
  20. Yeah defo a JDT signing, that one, I mean, what does he know about playing as a forward .
  21. I thought we played quite well yesterday, it was an enjoyable game. Beyond the starting eleven plus a couple of others who were missing, the squad is so thin though. They seriously need to get some more experience in there. A couple of injuries to key players - which is bound to happen at some point - and we'll be in Dicky's meadow.
  22. If no-one leaves I dont think we need any more defensive or midfield options. Desperately need a decent right winger and at least one more striker who can chip in towards the goal tally. Someone posted a preferred first X1 a while back which boasted a grand total of 20 League goals between them last season. Ohashi and Gueye are both far better than Gallagher in their own way but probably still won't get you more than 5-10 goals each. We need a lot more firepower and I think VI has more or less admitted as such.
  23. great evening of darts last night and looking forward to tonight with Luke Littler playing
  24. you have no idea if that's the case RF99. JDT signed off on the Telalovic signing over a loan striker from La Liga. Also JDT bought Garrett into the first team squad during his first season here and I think Garrett made his first start against Sunderland if memory is correct
  25. I think the criticism was due to his performances in the games he started. He started 12 games last season across 2 clubs and won just one. In most of his Rovers starts he was poor with people going drifting past him too easily leading to him having to stand off his man to avoid getting turned. Forshaw Season 24/25 starts P12 W1 D2 L9 For Rovers when he featured 45mins+ P7 W1 W1 L5 He did play a combined total of 78 minutes in the five games at the end where he did look better as we tended to be in front and defending heavily by that point. β€œVery good” is the over-exaggeration. Plus Batth didn’t look to be on the decline and people are concerned about his age. Forshaw looked old when he featured, clearly is on the decline and turns 34 next month.
