I led to believe being next to the river shouldn't be an issue. I was down Pleasington playing fields both yesterday and today with local matches being played OK. The river Darwen runs right through here and these are just rec fields and doubt they have any drainage. The Oxford game might be a bit too soon, but what about a rubber duck infestation of the pitch? Given this pitch problem has hit the headlines, it feels like an opportunity to raise awareness that we should not pass up. Looks like we could get around 3,000 for around £350
