‘The rainy season’, ah yes, that famous monsoon phenomenon that only impacts a slice of Lancashire between Preston and Accrington. -
So they did strengthen the squad, a lot. Just not in perhaps the most efficient way or in a way that Slot can maximise and get the best from.

Nixon again going out of his way to try and defend the club. Bit fishy. The owners refused to invest in a total needed relay of the pitch a couple of years ago, a pitch over 30 years old. The rest is just immaterial noise. -

But it isn’t one way or the other if the card counts towards a suspension but the game it occurred in doesn’t count towards the number of matches relevant for a suspension. I expect you’re right about how it works though. -

How do you think he knows this? Do you think he’s gone all private investigator, tracked down the expert and independently asked him his view on the pitch? Or do you think the club have told him this? -

Weird how practically every other club in our area has "success against the elements". -
Yet still short at centre back where they have 2 options. No back up for the number 6 defensive midfielder role. Spent massively on Isak instead

Nicko reported brought in a pitch drainge expert from Man Utd and Man City who rated the Ewood pitch capable of 60 per cent drainage which is comfortably above EFL regulations. Extra work was done on installing new holes between the surface and the deep soil below. -

I led to believe being next to the river shouldn't be an issue. I was down Pleasington playing fields both yesterday and today with local matches being played OK. The river Darwen runs right through here and these are just rec fields and doubt they have any drainage. I didn't think they were that saturated really, certainly nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year. -

As the game was not called-off until the second half the same offer as was given for the Ipswich game, will be given. -

I think they should go further still, free entry to all Wednesday fans who travelled and to all Rovers ST holders and walks on who attended and £5 charge for anyone else. -

I'm sure the tide will turn for Rovers, and the long suffering faithful at Ewood. We've had our share of bad luck, when we've been playing well. -

I wouldn't be surprised, if the Oxford game is cancelled. Heavy rain forecast Tuesday. Another fantastic save from Pears against Sheffield Wednesday, after a pass got stuck in the waterlogged pitch, and a Sheffield Wednesday striker was clean through on goal. -

Is this game even going to go ahead? I'd be surprised if the pitch recovers in time for it. -
Rovers's January transfer needs
Tomphil2 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Picks out to make room on the wages and bench for O'Riordan makes sense. I like Pickering i know his limitations but there is no point him sitting there every week not being used and being over looked for crap like De Neve. At least C O'r will be used and add some desperately needed height. Gueye i fear Rovers will end up paying someone to take him or paying him to go, hopefully take his pal Gestede with him. -

The Oxford game might be a bit too soon, but what about a rubber duck infestation of the pitch? Given this pitch problem has hit the headlines, it feels like an opportunity to raise awareness that we should not pass up. Looks like we could get around 3,000 for around £350 -
