  2. Yeah defo a JDT signing, that one, I mean, what does he know about playing as a forward .
  3. I thought we played quite well yesterday, it was an enjoyable game. Beyond the starting eleven plus a couple of others who were missing, the squad is so thin though. They seriously need to get some more experience in there. A couple of injuries to key players - which is bound to happen at some point - and we'll be in Dicky's meadow.
  4. If no-one leaves I dont think we need any more defensive or midfield options. Desperately need a decent right winger and at least one more striker who can chip in towards the goal tally. Someone posted a preferred first X1 a while back which boasted a grand total of 20 League goals between them last season. Ohashi and Gueye are both far better than Gallagher in their own way but probably still won't get you more than 5-10 goals each. We need a lot more firepower and I think VI has more or less admitted as such.
  5. great evening of darts last night and looking forward to tonight with Luke Littler playing
  6. you have no idea if that's the case RF99. JDT signed off on the Telalovic signing over a loan striker from La Liga. Also JDT bought Garrett into the first team squad during his first season here and I think Garrett made his first start against Sunderland if memory is correct
  7. I think the criticism was due to his performances in the games he started. He started 12 games last season across 2 clubs and won just one. In most of his Rovers starts he was poor with people going drifting past him too easily leading to him having to stand off his man to avoid getting turned. Forshaw Season 24/25 starts P12 W1 D2 L9 For Rovers when he featured 45mins+ P7 W1 W1 L5 He did play a combined total of 78 minutes in the five games at the end where he did look better as we tended to be in front and defending heavily by that point. โ€œVery goodโ€ is the over-exaggeration. Plus Batth didnโ€™t look to be on the decline and people are concerned about his age. Forshaw looked old when he featured, clearly is on the decline and turns 34 next month.
  8. Preferably avoid Chair as he throws bricks at lorries. Cantwell has the capacity for this. Hopefully the Leicester lad can ease the creative burden and let cantwell roam more
  9. whats the nixon fairytale this week,he apparently has a story about rovers
  10. Should be a great day, still hoping Mcllroy will win. Its been a great 3 days so far of the
  11. Perhaps so but how it wasn't stipulated that he moved before then is bewildering. On match days and the lead up to them the club secretary is one of the most important people at any club.
  12. I know but the club secretary has to sent the paperwork through as he has the access card
  13. ok, Maybe he didn't moved to the area for the first 12 months for a range of different reasons, but maybe he has now given ParsonBlue's comments. If he is now at Brockhall then you got what you want
  14. We have been for ages. I thought Cantwell might have filled thst role.
  15. I suspect he didnt want to play him as much as he did but that season was a particularly bad one for penny pinching so he had no choice but to use the likes of Garrett, Markanday and Telalovic who where all nowhere near good enough.
  16. I think we're lacking a small tricky creative number 10 type. Someone who can take a shot on from range... An Ilias Chair type.
  17. Just not a normal football club. Those long standing employees that remember the BV era must have seen some serious drop in professionalism and basic standards .
  18. JDT going was probably the worst thing for Garrett. JDT was working with him, improving him
  19. Garrett is going to be like Willem Tomlinson. Looked ok when I saw him for Rovers, but his career has divebombed through the footballing pyramid.
  20. He was the first manager open enough to name-checked Suhail as the man to ask regarding the problems at the club. That was good enough for me.
  21. What a bizarre set of circumstances.
  22. Thatโ€™s the market weโ€™re shopping in under the Chicken Chokers. We arenโ€™t going to looking at any player over ยฃ1 million. Even thst is unlikely.
  23. Because we have to think of the future too if we can get a midfielder in now and with one of or both trav/tronstad not renewing means weโ€™re not chasing our tail (again) next summer
  24. At a Q&A in October last year Eustace said he had never even spoken to them let alone met them
  25. Forshaw was very good towards the end of the season at coming off the bench late on and calming the game down. The criticism of his game, as ever, is wildly exaggerated.
