  1. Past hour
  2. I used to love match days now I just think what's the f'ing point. Team sold, average unknowns bought, awful ownership, no money, decaying ground, abandoned game after abandoned game, directors who couldn't organise a bunk up in a brothel. We used to be Blackburn Rovers FFS. I'm embarrassed to say that out loud these days, I keep it secret. Win lose or draw this match will have no impact on anything, we'll survive this season by the skin of our teeth and then the whole circus starts again next year. Plus ca change and all that. Rovers 1:0 but game abandoned due to Venky/Padha/Gestede mismanagement .
  3. They’ll say they are adhering to the two different terms and conditions of the tickets. Never do more than they have to this lot (and often not even that).
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if they try and get a small fee for Tronstad in January.
  5. Agreed. I know if I reported on a 60% yield at work I'd have some pretty stern questions to answer.
  6. How can you look at this video, and then say yesterday's conditions were worse than this with a straight face. VID-20250920-WA0008.mp4
  7. They do indeed but I don’t really understand why there is differentiation between ST and folk who paid for match attendance. Both have already paid for the fixture.
  8. Do you think we will splash out on an experienced, proven defender as well as bringing O'Riordan back to directly replace the sorely missed Hyam? If you think theres a chance of that then you havent been paying attention.
  9. He was a cheap buy from a foreign team, I was not stating that he was foreign
  10. Did they strengthen at centre back or right wing or number 6 defensive midfielder position? Instead of spending millions on Isak why not strengthen those 3 positions instead?
  11. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/blackburn-rovers-sheffield-wednesday-5432460 Don't know if that got linked last night on here but good article.
  12. I’ve decided not to hold my breath on this one. 😁😁
  13. Think on what? If on abandonment of the game. Posted them last night post game
  14. Good luck to either of you getting an answer on that.
  15. Is there a condensed timeline of the drainage issues/lack of action? Fitted in the late 80s, Waggots has mentioned he got a quote refused at board level to repair. After the first postponement we've fitted a PVC pipe into the river, had another postponement and are now on course for a third Vs Oxford? Anything im missing? What have united utilities said?
  16. Alebiosu was hardly a foreign punt given you came through the Arsenal academy The 3 position was a centre back, Tronstad's replacement and a striker supposedly we are after in January He has not said O'Riordan will be Hyam's replacement BTW. Gueye isn't good enough. We need a better back up striker to Ohashi and Gudjohnsen.
  17. Can’t see that referenced where I’d expect it to be in the regulations. Thats why I’ve asked Chaddy to ask Nicko…
  18. That might have been his intention but not really. His "galloping steed" is a boney old nag fit for the knackers yard if he thinks only 60% efficiency on the drainage is acceptable. Surely that's the whole problem rather than the solution or being acceptable?
  19. Even the most liked comments on the LT articles have turned. Where art thou, Reg?
  20. Actually, I don't think it is worse. First, the ball does bounce in the clip and travel reasonably well even though the pitch looks horrendous (as did many in those days.)
  21. Said last time, if the problem is the actual drain into the river not being able to get rid of the water quickly enough, then add more outlets and/or intercept the drain, dig a sump and pump it over the top into the river.
  22. In cricket, if it rains, they bring the covers on to protect the pitch. How much do tarpaulins cost? Covering just the centre of the pitch where most play occurs would help even if you can't afford more than one for the wings. Rain is forecastable days ahead. Covering the ground beforehand to stop the turf being totally saturated gives it the capacity to soak up 90 minutes worth of rain on the day. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE! Organisation and a bit of forethought is all that's required n'est pas. Oh, wait a minute, this is Venky Rovers, I forgot, my bad.
  23. Suspended 5 point deduction and having to pay compensation to their affected opponents: https://www.efl.com/contentassets/2360941774f04705bf2c384b511bca04/221219--efl-v-coventry-city--agreed-decision--ratified.pdf
  24. It looks like the drainage specialist is the new angle. A "wee gem" is that one. I can imagine the opposition kicking up a huge fuss were this to happen again and they were winning at the time. I'm all for it. I want more of this because I want the spotlight on these people.
