  1. Past hour
  2. It's bizarre. We aren't trying to get a goal at that point.... We're trying to keep them out for the final 10 minutes and have solid defensive fullbacks sat on the bench. Ismael seems to prefer chaos. Despite his poor subs I was proud of the performance tonight. Ipswich should sack Kieran McKenna if that's the best he can do with those players at his disposal.
  3. Tbf, he preached that mantra, but then did have a tendency to make lots of excuses. Here he is bemoaning a penalty decision, playing 3 games in a week, and only having 48hrs to prep for a game, all in one interview. And talking about being away, if I want to nitpick. All excuses if you think about it. If you're good enough, all those things shouldn't matter. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/october/26/eustace-frustrated-by--terrible--penalty-decision/ His actions didn't always match his proclamations.
  4. I'm not sure what more they can do to put their thumb on the scale in our matches. Will be interesting to see.
  5. he must have had some dust up with pickering and ribeiro to keep bringing deneve on,sure he`s quick but thats absolutely no use if the guy has no defensive capability at all,i mean he does`nt even know when to track back
  6. Love that from Ismael. He'll be getting a fine next week from the EFL though.
  7. Why would my default reaction be a positive one after yet again seeing my team chuck away a win in a way they seem to be making an art form? We did play pretty well, not quite the performance full of 8 and 9s out of 10 that the Lancashire Telegraph suggested, but its of no consolation and I am pretty pissed off this season and fearful of what the rest of the season holds.
  8. Rather than writing lists about referees I’d much rather Ismael tried a bit of self reflection. Of course he won’t though, Ewood is an accountability free zone from the top down. And while everything always remains someone else’s fault, and beyond their control, the best we can hope for is muddling along in the Championship. Predictably we went to pieces late on. Why try and defend so deep with such a limited back 3? Was anyone expecting a blood and thunder performance from Tavares or Baradji to help solidify things? Why DeNeve and not a full back? Gueye was crap, but we didn’t give him much of a chance… it’s hard to close down 2 thirds of a pitch and half a team on your own. Miller spotting Cantwell’s smart run but kicking the ball like a 7 year old on a windy Blacksnape instead of sitting it up in the corner was the moment that killed us.
  9. Just read what McKenna said about the clear red card. Pretty much said “it went our way tonight” even he knows it was a clear red. Just says a lot about the standards of these pathetic officials.
  10. His decision making has a consistently negative impact on the team. Terrible record, 18th place and game in hand gone. Brings on a lightweight inexperienced winger with no clue of how to defend a lead when there are two fullbacks with much more experience of this league to choose from... Again and again. He needs to go.
  11. 6 goals conceded in 90+ mins this season why can’t they learn?! Why isn’t he coaching them about game management just keep the ball away from the opposition or kick it out feign injury stop play literally anything for the last couple of mins?
  12. Tbf yes we played ok in parts but their keeper literally had nothing to do, surely a concern if that’s us playing well. iv said it a few times already but iv seen enough from gueye, taveres, de never and henriksson to never want to see them blacken the shirt again. good few have to up their game but iv seen snippets of something that I haven’t in those mentioned
  13. Just go one striker and shore it up then. We were in front after all
  14. It's interesting that we watched the same game and I started my comment earlier saying that the lads played well, yet you haven't one positive thing to say. Football eh?
  15. when baradji gets match fit i think he`ll be quite useful,he looks a long way of starting though imo
  16. Thought that was our best home performance of the season and we dominated the game. Unbelievable to not come away with 3 points. Ref was atrocious along with assistants, the standard seems to get worse each season and you could feel them trying to give Ipswich the benefit on every occasion. Ismael should stop making subs they just make the team weaker. Gueye spent the entire time trotting about and smiling like he had won a competition to play at Ewood. Never seen anything like it. It seemed almost a premeditated low effort performance from him. As for Baradji, Tavares and De Neve they look abysmal and offered nothing positive compared with who they replaced.
  17. Just don’t make the substitution at all!
  18. As expected, lots of responses citing bad luck, an undeserved equaliser, hard luck, curses. We need to look closer to home. We keep conceding late goals, we cant manage games. Its not hard luck if it keeps happening. And its not kids coming off the bench, its subs that we have recently bought and that Ismael has presumably endorsed. Ismael is perfect for these owners and this board because hes a loser. His sole focus is deflection of blame and the woe is me act. Eustace talked about a no excuses culture, Ismael is quite the opposite. Reeling off refereeing decisions post match off a pre prepared list across the season. Special mentions to De Neve and Gueye, right up there with 2 of the worst players I have seen in a Rovers shirt.
  19. very surprised tyjon has`nt made the bench this season,he must have fallen out with val
  20. We’ve got a deep dive coming on Ismael in this months podcast. Should be out on Friday morning as usual. “4000 Holes Podcast” on your Apple/Spotify
  21. I think we're at the point with Gueye that it would be better to get some youngster we haven't heard of out of the academy and stick them on for the last 20. At least they would run about and look busy. They can't be worse.
  22. His post match presser is bonkers. He goes on a 4-5 minute rant about referees and produces a list he has been keeping of decisions that went against us. Hopefully he gets banned for Saturdays game, so we can start the same XI and he can't change it if we score. I don't really know what he expects to happen as a result of his list and rant. Is he hoping to be invited to St George's Park to devise a new reffing course? I thought it was embarrassing. You never see successful managers on bitter rants like that, was Kevin Keegan stuff.
  23. Pre player trading loss £21.6 million, post player trading loss £7.7 million. It’s been asked a million times but why won’t they sell? As an aside, staff costs up £1.7 million…

  24. Who do you bring on upfront if not Gueye ? We literally have no one else.
  25. AI has missed a festive trick there. Surely ‘Val’s making a list, he’s checking it twice, Gueye and De Neve are naughty not nice….’
  26. That was class how he completely lost his marker and got into the perfect position to nod that one in. You can’t teach that, it’s a sixth sense.
