Even though it's never a foul,I wouldn't so much have minded if the ref had given it. It's such a lottery as to whether linesmen get involved or not.

I read Arbitro’s posts avidly, we played in the same primary school team, but there are two separate issues: was it a foul? Probably not. Did Hedges need to make any contact at all? Definitely not: it was a foot from the touchline and six feet from the corner flag, there were two defenders right there and another not far away, zero risk in that situation.

Clumsy tackle. In the modern game, you should never give the opposition an excuse to go down, and that's what Hedges did.

Sometimes I feel really out of kilter with most people, I just can’t watch this and see it as a horrendous decision. I think it’s a foul more often than not for an attacker or a defender in that situation. Not quite shoulder to shoulder but shoulder into the back. Naive and stupid from Hedges (who has been good overall this season)

He needs to realise his bosses comments aren't helping matters he seems to be implying Todd is swinging the lead.

You don't really touch on it in your post, but what do you make of the players that came off the bench, the bunch of mainly recent Gestede signings; De Neve, Henriksson, Gueye and Baradji? You put the closing stages down to fatigue but we had made plenty of subs who were fresh but again totally incapable of managing the game or making correct decisions to lighten the load on those behind them.

I just remembered something else he said on radio lancs today which I didn't really understand. It may have been a bit lost in translation, not sure. He said something along the lines of "I wish we had conceded the equaliser earlier rather than right at the death". I don't know why that makes a difference, maybe he thought that would give us chance to still go on and score again. Usually when a team pulls level against us, they go on and get another. So f*** knows what he was getting at.
