if you are winning late on is`nt it better to bring on a competent defender instead of a non league player (which is what deneve is imo) he has`nt got a clue where his team mates are or where his opposite number is

Cos the players are shattered. Sherwood talked about it against PNE. The reason we concede so many late goals is because our fitness levels aren't good enough - or rather the subs are a step down from the starters. And the subs absolutely have to be made - Morishita, Gudjohnsen and Ohashi ran themselves into the ground today. Forshaw would have been struggling too. Like everything at this club it all comes back to mismanagement and a lack of investment.

We had a man on the line. Never offside. Foul was soft but dumb to concede. They got to the cross, the knock down and the touch for the goal while most of our players were watching. Goal annd shit subs aside we lost because we didn’t put away 1 of the 4 big chances we had.

I think Hedges is an absolutely horrendous player but I didnt think he did anything wrong there. Incredibly soft

It was a soft free kick but you know what the linesman has seen and why he has give it. And it’s nowhere near offside

You saw the idea twice with DeNeve - he was played in behind in that left hand channel by Gueye. Ribeiro and Pickering simply wouldn't have got there.

Absolutely gutted by that late equaliser. I didn’t see us getting anything at all before the match but to concede so late was heartbreaking. According to Bayes / Gallagher, was never a free kick and the lad who eventually put it in the net was offside. Conceding a lot of very late goals and scoring very few ourselves has been an Achilles heal for many years. Love Yuki’s work ethic but his finishing has been really poor so far this season.

It seems Pickering won't get any time on the pitch unless he's the last man standing. Something very wrong going on there as he's a decent defender against that sort of opposition.
