  1. Past hour
  2. It’s on our list for next year…we needed to have designed & ordered by September for this year. I have a design in mind…more of a sweatshirt than a sweater but it will hopefully work. We have a Christmas tee shirt design coming next week 😉
  3. Does anyone on this thread go regularly to away games? I live in Northern Ireland but my 4 year old is Rovers mad. I feel really sad for him, I teach him about proper Rovers players - not this rag tag rabble. He watches Tugay videos and copies him every day. Anyway, I’m flying him to London for the QPR game for a Christmas present and want to know if there is an allocated away fans pub where we can base ourselves as I can’t have his little legs walking all across London looking for somewhere to sit and have a drink. I went in 2016 and couldn’t find anywhere, I hear it’s a very unwelcoming club and away fans are not welcome in pretty much any pub - which is pretty pathetic to be honest. any info welcome.
  4. I have an idea for you, it’s a bit late now but what about a Rovers Christmas jumper? Classic football shirts has some amazing ones but amazingly they seem to have most clubs apart from ourselves. They could have done a really smart 1995 one. The one on the Rovers website this year is naff
  5. A good predicament to be in is the talent pool we have is big. We've got so many world beaters to choose from.
  6. After seeing his Swedish tenure it would seem so.
  7. Yeah, now google the word 'new' then google sea and tides, then google 'skint football club run by morons with drainage system laid 35 years ago'. Finish off by googling the new drains and new estates, roads, motorway and industrial estates built on or near the course of the river Darwen in the last 30 years. All the answers are in there somewhere although iv'e left out the words 'climate change'.
  8. Today
  9. The title track of The Book of Souls is a superb Maiden track from any era. The rest of it is generally “ok“.
  10. Not confident about this one at all. Preston riding high in the league and playing well from bits I've seen. Heckingbottom is a good coach and seems to have assembled a decent squad which I think will push hard for the play-offs this season. As with the Derby game, Rovers lack of depth and physicality could be exposed here. Not lost this fixture for 6 years (a 3-2 defeat after being 2 up and coasting), but I'd be amazed if that run was to continue beyond Friday night. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong.
  11. I think rogers has all the tools to be a top player. He's strong technically gifted got a good football brain. He'd be good to have off the bench. I'd still start Bellingham at the world cup though
  12. Their ‘keeper was sent off for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity which is a 1 game ban (+ a £20 fine 😬).
  13. I believe that is exactly the case, they can also still play for our U21s/U18s during this period too
  14. Learning his lesson will be the stumbling block.
  15. Bought a few CDs, as I prefer solid media. Thought I'd give a more recent Iron Maiden album a go (Book of Souls), two Lindemann albums and one from a band called Armoured Saint (Win Hands Down). That last one is really good fast hard rock. Haven't really listened to the others yet.
  16. The Sex Pistols - God Save the Queen
  17. Aye but did you see them Gav? Dearie me even he was laughing at three of them. All catches on the leg side!
  18. Off to see Stone Foundation in Glasgow tomorrow with the mighty Mick Talbot on keys
  19. Feck me, I just give up. Anderson can do both sided of the game as the 6 and that's what we need. I leave it there cos its like banging your head against a brick hole with you
  20. Fair enough. Either way, those stats do not make Anderson objectively the best midfielder in the league. Hes a good player but I think Wharton is better (not loads in it) and also more naturally suited to playing that role which is available sitting next to Rice.
  21. It didn’t come across as Jakob was hiding the name, more that he misremembered it. Gary has been mentioned many times on this Forum for his role with adidas & the whole Spezial thing…not a major point in the scheme of things. 👍
  22. Why would they been other Forest players? No its was all across the league
  23. Why are you assuming that any Wharton income would benefit the squad in any way? I couldnt tell you the exact point but I believe that similar questions have been asked in the past (perhaps the Raya %) and its been said that such money is used to pay bills. The money wont be spent on new signings.
  24. Aren't pretty much all of these Tier 7-8 loans essentially local loans too? I mean, do the players even move house? Given they're semi-pro outfits, isn't it simply a matter of joining their loan team for maybe 1-2 practices + 1-2 games a week for a month or so, while otherwise they're probably still staying at home and being coached by our Academy staff a couple days a week? I'm happy to be corrected! Can debate if it's a worthwhile level of football, but I don't see that much harm in a few games here and there against some adults. I'd be surprised if a few games with Bootle ever ruined a player's development... Frankly, in some cases, it may be more of a sign that the Academy player never had that much potential in the first place, so doing them a bit of a favour to see if they can at least hack it at the semi-pro level. Generally thinking there's a distinction between local youth loans and 'proper', 'character-building', 'learn pro football' loans (like O'Riordan, or what we would've hoped for with Olson's loan...)
  25. Could not confirm or deny the pseudonym given the sensitive nature of the topic
  26. Thanks for confirming!what a joke
