  1. Past hour
  2. How good is Scott Whartons distribution. Thought he was fantastic yesterday.
  3. Yeah, I hate to give up on a player, when we need players. But, he’s already out 4-6 weeks. I don’t see him ever being a healthy, consistent performer for Rovers.
  4. Wonder what we have more of. ‘Head of’s’ or you know, pro footballers.
  5. Just like plenty on here did but for some reason you can't stop mentioning it s why not mention other people who had similar opinion to my at the time?
  6. I’ve just looked this up and apparently even this isn’t a necessity (even though Rovers seem to have always previously done this) My main mistake was assuming that Silvester was replaced ‘like for like’ rather than the role seemingly being downgraded. You’d think I’d know better than to do that but there we go 😁😁
  7. If he wasn’t fit we shouldn’t have brought him in for that situation. Although he was never really injured for Plymouth and had played during December and January for them so why do you think he wasn’t fit? He just couldn’t get in their team. The criticism during January to March was justified. I’d accept someone thinking it was a bit harsh. It certainly wasn’t “wildly exaggerated “. Going forward, as a squad player who we aren’t expecting to need to start then fine, although id prefer someone who is pushing for a first team spot.
  8. More heads than Medusa down there.
  9. Maybe its personal reasons when he hasn't to now if correct he has moved up here. I had a site manager who was moved out cos he wouldn't moved more locally so they forced him out before 6 months down the line going back to him with another job offer and promotion to regional manager Brett Baker wasn't appointed as Club Secretary but head of football administration Statement: Club Secretary | rovers.co.uk
  10. and yet the manager was happy to bring him back. Like I said, he wasn’t fit, as he got fitter he got better. I think the criticism was overblown.
  11. We appointed a bloke from Brighton after Ian Silvester went. He was working from home but it has been said he is now based at Brockhall. Is it not a Company Secretary that needs to be registered at Companies House?
  12. But he wasn’t brought in as a squad player. He was brought in to replace Baker who was 1st reserve for Travis / Tronstadt. Travis was injured so he needed to start immediately. And any other injuries (which happened) meant he would start more. The club was rightly criticised for putting the managers in that position, and the player was rightly criticised as he wasn’t good enough to be starting in those games. So when you say the criticism of his was ‘wildly over-exaggerated ’, I think your way off.
  13. He did want him sacked after a month after all…
  14. Why would we sign a central midfielder (an injured one) to play on the right? And no, its called having an opinion beyond just assuming that if a manager picks a player, its because hes exactly what he wants. Budget restrictions, issues with recruitment etc dont come into it. Still think we are 4 or 5 short. Wanted 6 or 7, lost 2 or 3 that we hadnt factored in. Also still have to sort the futures of Brittain, Tronstad and Travis. We supposedly have "learnt" from previous mistakes
  15. They’d be stealing young talent not promoting it.
  16. As soon as he leaves you’ll be slagging him off. You have form.
  17. We used to keep saying the Gordon Lee quote in a mock Staffs accent for longer than is sensible or even funny!
  18. He was so happy with him he never played him.
  19. The fitter he got the better he played. He’s a squad player who brings vital experience. We don’t have enough of those players so I’m glad he’s here.
  20. ‘A body through the door’ as the parlance goes.
  21. Do we have one of those? ( if we do that’s another thing we haven’t updated Companies House about)
  22. As opposed to being derided for being shite and the stats backing it up. Im the first to hold my hand up if I got a player or manager wrong. With Forshaw, he was the absolute wrong signing at the wrong time.
  23. As you didn’t answer the question I will, there was 0 weeks left. There was probably 24 hours left. There is nothing to convince me that JDT was happy with Telalovic, other than he was given a take it or leave it option on 2 unknowns on deadline day. If he “left it” it meant having no striking option coming in.
  24. Lies, damn lies and statistics. IIRC the stats showed we were more likely to win when S Gally was in the team but he was almost universally derided for being shite.
