  3. AFCON Group C Matches play on 23, 27, 30 December 2025 Nigeria Tunisia Uganda Tanzania Next stage fixtures, if successful are on 3, 9, 14 and final on the 18 January.
  4. They seemed to of missed the part where people get a refund of go free or get a pint on the house
  5. Small Faces - Here Come The Nice
  6. One is called Mickey the other is called Mouse.
  7. The problem with their hard-luck rhetoric is that it assumes there is some kind of microclimate in the area of Ewood Park which the majority of our local rivals at a similar level don't experience. Seeing as we haven't seen matches being called off in the past three decades due to rain, it also assumes the rainfall this year is the worst it has ever been in the last 30 years or so, which I am skeptical of.
  8. Any chance of them publishing these two lots of specialist advice?
  9. Just a totally vile football club, once again making themselves out to be the victims of misfortune, circumstances, the weather, the referee, we've done all we can etc. etc. What we never get is accountability, responsibility, a serious clear plan of action.
  10. Could just be me but after that statement I hope tonight’s game gets abandoned too.
  11. https://owngoalnigeria.com/2025/12/08/tella-boniface-tolu-uche-iheanacho-not-in-super-eagles-28-for-afcon-three-new-players-in/ Reportedly has made the squad. Which is awful for us.
  12. Now all we need to worry about (apart from whether the game will finish) is whether we can put a team out. Exciting times.
  13. What’s make them think we’ll be patient or understanding.
  14. Yep I thought that was unpleasant.
  15. Classic denial.....victim centricity/externalisation/selective memory/excuses Bastards, we see you!
  16. Following discussions with the match officials, who are satisfied with the playing surface at Ewood Park, tonight’s game against Oxford United will go ahead as planned. Blackburn Rovers wishes to stress that the club shares the frustrations felt by supporters following the abandonment of Saturday’s Championship fixture against Sheffield Wednesday. Following the abandonment of our home fixture against Ipswich Town in September, the club engaged leading drainage specialists to assess and implement measure (1) aimed at improving the pitch’s ability to withstand periods of heavy rainfall. Despite these steps, and the best efforts of the club’s grounds team, torrential rainfall throughout Saturday’s game – as well as the forecast for further rain – ultimately resulted in referee Ruebyn Ricardo calling the match off. Over the past 48 hours, the club has been working closely with the EFL, has again sought external specialist advice and is exploring all available options to minimise the risk of any further fixture disruption. (2) The club is treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and is committed to doing everything in its power to address the current concerns regarding the pitch, while balancing time constraints, the congested fixture schedule and the significant financial implications involved. (3) However, we also recognise that weather conditions can present challenges that are, at times, beyond the club’s control. (4) The club is currently awaiting guidance from the EFL Board regarding the Sheffield Wednesday fixture and will provide a further update to supporters once confirmed. We thank all fans for their patience, understanding and continued support, and look forward to seeing everyone back at Ewood Park for tonight’s match. 1 We asked some people at City and United for advice. 2 We already know what to do –Waggot’s report already told us but we won’t pay 3 We’ll do everything so long as it is cheap –if we have to cough up significant funds for pitch improvement then nout for transfers etc 4 Not our fault, we are victims of the weather
  17. 3 rollers and a fork whilst the band played on - all available measures my arse 🤣 Subtle dig at the ref in there - that’ll help us even more…
  18. "Not a problem, it's not like we've had games called off in the past due to the weather or anything. Oooo....errr........ hang on!"
  19. Should do a “guess who” with that one
  20. "the significant financial implications involved. " FFS,its your responsibility to ensure all work is carried out so we have a playable Pitch and a Stadium fit for purpose you penny pinching pillocks. The Club is falling apart due to lack of investment and that falls at your Feet, your remit. Sick of these Goons.
  21. Yeah. It rains more in winter. Whoever would have thunk it?
  22. We’re exploring all available options… Unless they cost too much or take too long.
