  1. Past hour
  2. He ain't done a lot wrong today until the same old stupid subs that don't fit what we are doing and are crap anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if he's told he has to get Gueye on for mins so when they try and move him his stats look better. De Neve obviously comes on for energy because he can get up and down but that is cancelled out by the fact he's brainless. 2 decent for this level - by our current standards -proven left sided defenders on the bench but he always throws a the wing back who can't defend on to compensate for who he takes off. Never works and neither does Gueye whose gone from being offside the entire time to getting more involved but giving it away all the time because he can't control a football. Why keep doing the same thing that doesn't work it's absolutely brainless especially if you want to take the sting out of a game and hang on.
  3. Yep. It’s just the manner we conceded. I guess it’s part and parcel of the championship.
  4. It was such a strange feeling immediately after the full time whistle. Of course the majority (and me) would have taken a draw at 3 o'clock but their late equaliser, for a short time made it feel like a defeat. Once again our away form has totally eclipsed our home form as we played really well and kept a one dimensional Wrexham team to virtually nothing until the last ten or so minutes. And if Ohashi had made a better decision when clean through we could have been in the box seat. The performance was energetic, pacy and purposeful as we looked comfortable. The excellent finish from Gudjohnsen was deserved I thought as with a bit more composure and care could have gone in at half time further ahead. Wrexham were better in the second half but really huffed and puffed and I felt quite comfortable defending the one goal lead. That was until the linesman wanted to make a name for himself by giving a ridiculous decision against us as Hedges was far to strong for the Wrexham player. In fairness the referee allowed a fair level of physicality so the linesman was completely out of kilter with how the game was being refereed. Poor from him. The only criticism I can offer is that we looked tired in the last ten minutes and lost a little but of shape but that aside I was really happy. Forshaw was great. The biggest compliment I can pay him is that he was almost at Tronstad levels for large parts. The changes we made were needed due to some fatigue but it shows how weak we are as a squad looking at some of the players coming on. All in all I'm happy with our days work.
  5. He’s ‘open and honest’, remember, certainly no shilling for the regime here and he definitely wouldn’t throw his players under the bus whilst doing so.
  6. Went there hoping for a point and got it.
  7. thanks Rev. Maybe it is overconfidence on reflection but I think it is founded on us a) being in a lot of games. We've not looked vastly out of place in many games. Sure, thats sometimes being as bad as the opposition, but we don't look vastly inferior. And b) we are doing way better than I thoihjt we would. Given the exodus of talent and experience and the paper thin squad i figured we would do a lot worse than we have done. As it is, we're still picking up points and aren't struggling like Wednesday are (which outside of the penalty points, was form i thought we would replicate). Another game where we got a point, and could/should have got more, adds to the optimism. That said I can see that there is a strong case to argue the opposite too, especially when considering Venkys self sabotage as well. So yes, maybe overconfident, but its certainly not the certainty I feared with all the changes. And with only 2 spots to play for - which is huge - and some weak teams around us I think we'll still stay up.
  8. Do they start with 10 men and a goal down?
  9. New Order - Bizarre Love Triangle
  10. Fair enough to andri Gudjohnsen. Proving to be a quality player who can actually finish. Yes, in previous games he should’ve or could’ve buried a few chances but 5 in his last 7, in his first season in English football ain’t too bad. 100% gets it off his dad. Well done to the recruitment team on this one.
  11. He could had been a little bit more careful in that situation knowing that there was one min to get three huge points. He's one of our oldest players but you do question it... Todd is our captain so why should there be an issue.. think he will be back for Tuesday.
  12. Precisely my point and different manager would not have lost that QPR game in the manner we did. They would not have blamed a terrible performance on Tronstad being out, simply because in reality he got his selection and subs wrong.
  13. Good spot, given the depressing way the match ended, think we had all probably overlooked this.
  14. Despite what happened at Soton, Will Still is still (will) a level above what we can hope for, should VI walk away.
  15. The seeds are being sown… I can’t believe some people think he is honest.
  16. He's a bad tactician and a terrible man manager. Not a great talent to have under a captainless ship in the boardroom and a still-in-school COO with too much control. I think they'll try to give Will Still the job soon and he'll turn it down.
  17. Not that it’s much comfort but the run of away defeats to promoted clubs has ended. Next one to begin in a fortnight??
  18. Forshaw played well today, he should have be in against QPR, Hickman and Montgomery was never going to be enough to compensate for the loss of Tronstrad.
  19. Odd comments on Cantwell - looks a bit awkward when asked..….
  20. I know it’s only been a couple of days but have you changed your mind yet?
  21. As I said after the last game, major excuse culture under this manager. Last match was all about Tronstad being missing apparently.... well he didn't play today either did he Val? A good manager would say we have to learn how to manage a game better, retain the ball in key areas and see out the win. Some important home fixtures coming up... Get him gone before it's too late!
  22. Exactly the cliché that's used when players are under offer or being hawked around for sale. Do we have players in the team that should play even if they aren't "right in their mind"? What "type" of player is this, versus whatever "type" Cantwell supposedly is?
  23. Seems odd to me that the Wrexham player would personally speak to Ismael after the game and admit it wasn't a free kick. I'm curious as to exactly what was said and why. I get the feeling some context might be missing. At the end of the day if our home form wasn't so shocking we wouldn't be in a position where a good point away from home isn't enough, regardless of circumstances. Of the teams below us we've lost to Norwich, Swansea and Sheffield United at home. We haven't played any of the others at Ewood yet. Keep losing to relegation rivals at home and that will do us in, not last minute draws away from home. The fact we're even in a relegation scrap after finishing 7th last season is disgraceful in of itself. No comment on that from Val, though. He's incensed to even be asked such a question, apparently.
  24. Venkys are definitely on the naughty list.
