Can you dig out the average for years 6 -10 and the last 5 years if you've nothing better to do? 🙂 That should prove quite informative Id have thought. -

Whether (geddit?) or not the match goes ahead, one thing is almost certain: that the uncertainty will mean the attendance is likely to be among the lowest in the modern era. Sub 8,000 is my prediction, though of course the official figure will be higher. The resident statto wildesdenover will provide the relevant figures in due course. -

The pitch was OK on Saturday it was the amount of water on it that caused the abandonment. As long as the water has drained away I don’t think there will be a problem. But then I’m not a groundsman LOL -

The forecast I've seen is light rain between 09.45 and 10.45 otherwise clear all day. It was atrocious most of the night. SHOULD be ok you'd have thought, but then again there shouldnt have been a problem on Saturday. The fact this game and the last are in any doubt at all show there's a major problem and will just keep re occurring until fixed. -
It could be OK. No doubt they'll of put more holes in, if there's a breaking the rain at all today then it could be OK. If it rains heavy during then that's a problem at the rain mounts up in the surface its not getting time to soak away.

Yes shame on them so many people, literally thousands would turn up to watch them play, on a cold winter Tuesday night before Christmas, and they can’t even communicate to advise fans if it’s on or not shame on them they should know if it’s being postponed they should communicate asap -

If the heavy rain is stopping in a couple of hours for the rest of the day, I suppose it depends what damage the overnight rain has done to the already mess of a pitch, I think they will play, whether the game lasts who knows but i definitely think it will kick off. -

Somebodies theory to the waterlogged pitch at Ewood, was the pipes are probably blocked underground. I agree, could be the problem. It could be a blessing in disguise, if its postponed tonight, with our flimsy squad, and long injury list. I'm diehard Rovers. 3-0 Rovers, if it goes ahead. -

The weather is looking ok at the moment. The prolonged heavy rain is not now forecast as bad as previously forecast. Hopefully the game is on. -

I tell you what put it in perspective for me..... National league Rochdale have started corrective work on their pitch due to issues, fair play to them. As a result they'll have to play a few games at Accy Stanley. League 2 Accy Stanley, who played 90 mins and extra time at weekend can accommodate their own games plus a few extra. Anyone fairly local will know Stanley had pitch issues for a while, I think they blamed run off from the coppice when it rained. League 2 Stanley FIXED their pitch issues and hey presto are now in a position where their pitch is MUCH better than ours. So there you have it, national league and league 2 clubs putting us to shame. -
