  1. Past hour
  2. I do agree - I've made the joke a few times that if he looked like Steve McDonald he wouldn't be a guaranteed starter.
  3. Lets see how he plays this season after a full pre season and we need Cantwell to be the playmaker if Travis and Tronstad are our Centre midfielders as starters
  4. Fell Val can get the best out of him his best form in a rovers shirt was end of last season and albeit a friendly yesterday he was excellent in the first half
  5. If Hayden Carter plays 20 games this season it’ll be unbelievable. That squad is so thin it’s scary!
  6. And Iv stated why it’s a fair assumption Ohashi will
  7. I think we need a striker with abit pace, given us something different up front to Ohashi and Gueye. I think Ohashi will suit Ismael's style and I think he will get 15 goals this season if he stays fit
  8. Not this again. Remind us again how many days and weeks were left in the transfer window when JDT, having asked for strikers all summer, was given this amazing choice? If he had said no then there was no striker incoming, so he was given a choice between two players who weren’t up to it.
  9. He doesn't do it. He wanders into too many unthreatening areas of the pitch trying to be a playmaker and his finishing/shooting is awful. He's a flashes of brilliance player but those bits of ability aren't in the final third enough.
  10. Hmmmm..... let it go Simon. He's an important player for us who will be missed badly if he goes. I think you know this
  11. Didn't say 5. Said 5-10. Same as last season.
  12. Ohashi got 9 last season so not sure why 5 would be associated with him. Nothing is guaranteed of course but given his had a full pre season and not a half a season behind him it’s a fair assumption to make he will get over the 10 goals this season thag said another striker in would be helpful
  13. Yeah defo a JDT signing, that one, I mean, what does he know about playing as a forward .
  14. I thought we played quite well yesterday, it was an enjoyable game. Beyond the starting eleven plus a couple of others who were missing, the squad is so thin though. They seriously need to get some more experience in there. A couple of injuries to key players - which is bound to happen at some point - and we'll be in Dicky's meadow.
  15. If no-one leaves I dont think we need any more defensive or midfield options. Desperately need a decent right winger and at least one more striker who can chip in towards the goal tally. Someone posted a preferred first X1 a while back which boasted a grand total of 20 League goals between them last season. Ohashi and Gueye are both far better than Gallagher in their own way but probably still won't get you more than 5-10 goals each. We need a lot more firepower and I think VI has more or less admitted as such.
  16. great evening of darts last night and looking forward to tonight with Luke Littler playing
  17. you have no idea if that's the case RF99. JDT signed off on the Telalovic signing over a loan striker from La Liga. Also JDT bought Garrett into the first team squad during his first season here and I think Garrett made his first start against Sunderland if memory is correct
  18. I think the criticism was due to his performances in the games he started. He started 12 games last season across 2 clubs and won just one. In most of his Rovers starts he was poor with people going drifting past him too easily leading to him having to stand off his man to avoid getting turned. Forshaw Season 24/25 starts P12 W1 D2 L9 For Rovers when he featured 45mins+ P7 W1 W1 L5 He did play a combined total of 78 minutes in the five games at the end where he did look better as we tended to be in front and defending heavily by that point. β€œVery good” is the over-exaggeration. Plus Batth didn’t look to be on the decline and people are concerned about his age. Forshaw looked old when he featured, clearly is on the decline and turns 34 next month.
  19. Preferably avoid Chair as he throws bricks at lorries. Cantwell has the capacity for this. Hopefully the Leicester lad can ease the creative burden and let cantwell roam more
  20. whats the nixon fairytale this week,he apparently has a story about rovers
  21. Should be a great day, still hoping Mcllroy will win. Its been a great 3 days so far of the
  22. Perhaps so but how it wasn't stipulated that he moved before then is bewildering. On match days and the lead up to them the club secretary is one of the most important people at any club.
  23. I know but the club secretary has to sent the paperwork through as he has the access card
  24. ok, Maybe he didn't moved to the area for the first 12 months for a range of different reasons, but maybe he has now given ParsonBlue's comments. If he is now at Brockhall then you got what you want
  25. We have been for ages. I thought Cantwell might have filled thst role.
