  1. Past hour
  2. Which contradicts another Oxford fan mentioning a 5 ‘o’ clock reassessment. If only those who knew for sure would share with us…
  3. It's especially grim up North. Respect to the Oxford fans that turn up.
  4. According to an Oxford Messageboard about 10 minutes ago, the stewards on the coaches have been told the game is on.
  5. They are just incompetent, they just don’t want to admit that there is anything out of the ordinary going on and hence, the radio silence. As far as they are concerned, the line is we have just been unlucky with the weather and so this Oxford match is just business as normal ! I’m really hoping it is called off, with everything going on off the pitch and the injury situation, we could do with a postponement finally going in our favour.
  6. There is an air of arrogance around Rovers under Rudy Gestede and Pasha. Waggott was a bit of a cock who lacked ambition but was a canny operator. He'd have been all over it today letting us know the game was safe and get down. It comes to something when you start to feel like you miss a Steve Waggott type..
  7. Game goes ahead and Oxford win - I can feel the pain now. Postpone it and get the injured players sorted instead.
  8. And which one would that be? Genuine question. I've often wondered who I would support if Rovers collapsed into oblivion.
  9. Sad thing is ChatGPT will draft something around 6pm for the site and the usual crew will drool over the transparency of it. Its pure contempt, club no longer exists for the fans. Quite right to mention Oxford fans, disgraceful to give nothing.
  10. Have they been rolling those sponges all day? If not, why not?
  11. Can only think it will be on. Not going to call it off at 5pm surely?
  12. The complete lack of any communication from the club is appalling today. Just tell people what’s happening for God’s sake! Even if no decision has been made and we are waiting for a further pitch inspection then tell the people this. Oxford is a hell of a drive and they deserve to be kept up to date to inform their decision of whether the drive or not. Travelling in this weather is not without any risk and surely it’s their duty to keep people informed. Incredibly amateur and the overwhelming impression is that they are choosing to ignore the situation to save face.
  13. Metaphor for the club under the Rao's? Crossed my mind that some wag might find it fun to stuff something up that pipe.
  14. Tronstad will be on or above that too, was signed on a free (which generally means higher wages etc) from a top tier Dutch team (think he also played in Europe for them), well before the taps were turned off
  15. maybe will fund a rental of another big sponge, the rest will be either pocketed, or go on the electric bill
  16. If pitch inspections have already taken place or are taking place - surely it's against EFL regs or protocol not to inform both sets of fans of that , otherwise how can anyone travelling from any distance away make an informed decision whether to travel? It's a brave person who travels up from Oxford this afternoon. Unless they're travelling in Ossy Dave's Ferrari of course! 🙂
  17. Bamber bridge pitch is waterlogged match off tonight. I would put our pitch on the same level these days.
  18. Get in early for the cap presentation tonight
  19. Today
  20. Supposed to clear up now and no rain yesterday, I can see this going ahead
  21. Met office now predicting 40% chance of rain through until 5pm. Does the high winds have an effect on the water on the pitch at all?
  22. My boss said that in the team meeting yesterday "we need to find you another club to support".
  23. For me, my only choice is to not support the club, as it is.
  24. Might have spoken too soon. just nipped out to do the school run and it’s pissing down again (Lower Darwen).
