If he wasn’t fit we shouldn’t have brought him in for that situation. Although he was never really injured for Plymouth and had played during December and January for them so why do you think he wasn’t fit? He just couldn’t get in their team. And any other injuries (which happened) meant he would start more. The club was rightly criticised for putting the managers in that position, and the player was rightly criticised as he wasn’t good enough to be starting in those games. So when you say the criticism of his was ‘wildly over-exaggerated ’, I think your way off.

Stress fracture is an injury you can’t put a time frame on due to how delicate the process is and could need resetting multiple times.
