  1. Past hour
  2. Not that it’s much comfort but the run of away defeats to promoted clubs has ended. Next one to begin in a fortnight??
  3. Forshaw played well today, he should have be in against QPR, Hickman and Montgomery was never going to be enough to compensate for the loss of Tronstrad.
  4. Odd comments on Cantwell - looks a bit awkward when asked..….
  5. I know it’s only been a couple of days but have you changed your mind yet?
  6. As I said after the last game, major excuse culture under this manager. Last match was all about Tronstad being missing apparently.... well he didn't play today either did he Val? A good manager would say we have to learn how to manage a game better, retain the ball in key areas and see out the win. Some important home fixtures coming up... Get him gone before it's too late!
  7. Exactly the cliché that's used when players are under offer or being hawked around for sale. Do we have players in the team that should play even if they aren't "right in their mind"? What "type" of player is this, versus whatever "type" Cantwell supposedly is?
  8. Seems odd to me that the Wrexham player would personally speak to Ismael after the game and admit it wasn't a free kick. I'm curious as to exactly what was said and why. I get the feeling some context might be missing. At the end of the day if our home form wasn't so shocking we wouldn't be in a position where a good point away from home isn't enough, regardless of circumstances. Of the teams below us we've lost to Norwich, Swansea and Sheffield United at home. We haven't played any of the others at Ewood yet. Keep losing to relegation rivals at home and that will do us in, not last minute draws away from home. The fact we're even in a relegation scrap after finishing 7th last season is disgraceful in of itself. No comment on that from Val, though. He's incensed to even be asked such a question, apparently.
  9. Venkys are definitely on the naughty list.
  10. I love Yuki's work ethic but his finishing this season has been absolutely woeful. He has missed countless good chances, generally when he has time to think, his only goals have been first time reaction efforts and the deflection at Hull. We might have got lucky with Gudjonsson though, he's scoring goals and missing chances but is always getting in the right areas.
  11. we cant keep dropping points like that away from home as we dont seem to be able to get anything at home.
  12. What was stupid about Hedges? All I saw was a terrible decision from a linesman
  13. lol the faint "wheeyyyyy" in the background as the cross goes deep but finds its target lmao
  14. Squads not big enough to allow rotation so players are rushed back or playing through injury for 2/3 matches in a week. Many of us foolish fans could see it months ago.
  15. Harsh on Hedges, it was a very soft free kick. Lack of quality finishing, poor squad depth & a manager insistent on making subs for the sake of it has cost us 3 points in the last 2. Why change the entire front 3 who all played really well. Their replacements were & are nowhere near the standard. The rest of the team were excellent, even Pears! He’s got shit hair but we don’t care 😂
  16. Some harsh but understandable comments. I thought the starting 11 played well and we scored a top notch goal. Yuki’s finishing is getting concerning, the guy can’t buy a goal. Forshae, Morishita, young George and even the dodgy Aussie all played really well I thought. I thought we’d withstood the siege but Hedges stupidity, a great header back to the penalty spot by Moore and a wicked deflection cost us two points.
  17. Being forced out either costs too much or he is outspoken about the shoddy tactics and coaching Or both
  18. He played Hedges at left Centre back instead of Pickering, who had done it before admirably. That was nothing to do with ‘the system’.
  19. Ismael knows his stock isn't high enough to take the high road. He won't have any decent offers like Tomasson or Eustace if he decided to walk right now, so he's toeing the line, just like Kean did when he said Nelsen's knee didn't feel right, then he miraculously started for Spurs a week later.
  20. Captain Donkey and his donkey subs have cost us yet again. Made a triple substitution on Weds against QPR with a third of the game left. We immediately conceded a goal and barely threatened ourselves afterwards. Was a while back but I seem to remember the exact same happening against Sheff Utd. Made his subs today with a third of the game left, we suddenly stopped offering any attacking threat whatsoever and camped in our own half until Wrexham scored. Yes the squad is paper thin and the bench stinks the place out, but that's all partly his fault, alongside his pals Gestede and Pasha. He's clueless. I can only remember his subs having a positive impact once, 9 times out of 10 they make us much worse. He's a dud.
  21. Read his quotes in the LT mate,Vi is basically blaming him for not being mentally ready to come back from an injury- sounds like absolute BS and what we have heard before, TC will be shipped out like the others who either earned too much or spoke the truth about the shoddy coaching and mis management- Montgomery now injured for a min of 5 weeks!! What are they training on, nails? How has this club managed to get so many injuries
  22. Today
  23. What an unforgiving league this is. I think most of us would have taken a point before kick off but to concede so late, again, is a real hammer blow. Being more clinical with our chances, we could so easily have picked up 5 extra points this week and be going into the Ipswich game in hand, with thoughts of really pushing on to catch the behemoths of Millwall, Knob End and Hull. As it is, we could now be soon slipping back into the bottom three. Unless we can turn around the Ewood form, we are facing a real relegation battle.
  24. Couldn't agree more. The guy's an absolute disgrace. What's happening with Cantwell again?
  25. Pickering was signed a a league 1 player, but was given a new contract 3 years (and 2 Championship top 10 finishes) later under Broughton before the taps were turned off (same time as Adam Wharton & Szmodics contracts were extended). He will be above or around the current wage cap, similar story Pears Ribeiro probably signed with that in mind, as a cheaper alternative Cost was probably also the primary reason for why Pratt was originally in the team ahead of both, albeit he has worked out
  26. Ribeiro was signed under Gestede and Pickering was a L1 player. They just don't fit the system - it's really not that hard.
