  1. Past hour
  2. There's no way a defender of Pickerings experience is being continually over looked for anything other than financial reasons.
  3. Pratt is fit to play. Was just taken off as precaution as he was on a yellow.
  4. Their incompetence and negligence is definitely gaining traction after the latest abandonment. Pity tonight will likely go ahead.
  5. So as there is a 30% chance the game will go ahead and probably at least a 15% chance we might get the full 90mins in, back to the horrific news that we'll probably have to field Sidnei Taveres from the start, as Tronstad, Forshaw, Montgomery are all injured and Ismael confirmed that Bradji won't be starting anytime soon. --------------------Pears ------Miller-----McLoughlin--Riberio Alebiosu--------------------------De Neve ------------TGH--------Taveres -------------Cantwell/Mori -----------Ohashi----Gudjohnsen Someone should probably get a rain dance going because we aren't winning this game with that lineup, I don't even know if Pratt is fit to play.
  6. Was there any statement from the EFL about our second abandonment for rain in a matter of months, or have they been silent on the matter as well? If they aren't taking any action then I consider them just as complicit as the club at this point. A template statement about replaying the match doesn't address any of the obvious concerns.
  7. Riverwatch needs its own thread it's the new chaddometer.
  8. Would certainly make sense as to why he can’t get ahead of Dion De F’in Neve in the pecking order.
  9. It will very likely go ahead but only because they are bloody lucky the rain is stopping early/mid PM rather than a few hours later. Im pretty confident that we won’t have to wait too long for the next postponement or abandonment though. Bring on the shame. Something, anything to push these absolute morons ever so slightly closer to the exit door.
  10. River has dropped 35cm since 8am It is now at the same level it was just after half time on Saturday
  11. That might come back to bite you if the temperature drops
  12. I have been told Pickering is by a friend of the family.
  13. And the Venky logo still gets flashed all around the world on tv screens and social media clips with the majority unaware of all the nonsense even if they bother to find out who and what the company is. A small kickback for their continued ownership of the club and that exposure in pure paid for advertising terms and exposure on multiple platforms would certainly cost a few million a year.
  14. Another bad reffing decision for Ismael's list...😝
  15. Saw bits of the Fulham and Dingles games. Adam surprisingly by his standards had a bit of a stinker at the Turd but would have been dominating the headlines if Fulham hadn't scored one of the sweetest goals I have ever seen.
  16. I was also very surprised they weren't more visibly proactive on Saturday. Before the game and during half time, but I don't know much about all the technology. Having said that, I'm not sure it would have been enough, just to use the rollers, as the rain was so constant that almost as much water was hitting the pitch as they were taking off and it didn't stop.
  17. Tugay could smash it in from 25 yards as well. After Douglas, the most naturally gifted player we ever had.
  18. England were basing their “feared” pace attack on a fit and firing Wood - which was always a gamble given his injury record. File his inevitable departure in the debacle file along with Stokes’s poor captaincy, McCullum’s unwarranted bravado, and the players’ inept batting, bowling and fielding. England could of course win 3-2 but I’ll eat my flat cap if they do
  19. Just hope the guys with the soak up rollers are more on the ball tonight. On Saturday standing water was visible on the pitch just before half time. Why weren't they out there rolling through the interval?
  20. Today
  21. Which is exactly the stumbling block every time any protest group is started. The only person that’s ever risked putting himself above the pit is Glen Mullan, who had financial and family issues because of it as well as death threats. Until someone’s willing to lead, nothing will really get off the ground. And I’m saying that as someone who’s not brave enough to lead!
  22. This was a good listen. I bet it was disappointing to do a deep dive on the manager only days/hours before his post-Ipswich shopping list meltdown, then to have him come out swinging yesterday regarding the state of the pitch. You couldn't have forecast that ☔ Maybe you'll have to do an emergency update episode on the developments.
  23. The wage cap such as it is is rumoured to be for new players coming in. We all know Cantwell's way above that and Travis, Brittain, Hyam would have been above it as well. Oddly enough Id imagine Pears is one of the only ones remaining apart from Cantwell and Tronstad above it. Maybe also Pickering and Carter? Not sure what Wharton would be on.
  24. Yep. This 25p in the pound rule is ludicrous imo. For every £10m they inject from now on just to cover bills and keep the lights on, the potential purchase price to a new owner goes up by another £2.5m. A reward for bad ownership.
