  1. Past hour
  2. I have a feeling Dolan is going to end up in the MLS.
  3. Well for all his failings Gregg was key at contract negotiations and the fact Dolan/rep failed to engage to me at the time spoke volumes good luck to the fella but I still maintain he’s just a solid champ level player
  4. Windass also wont progress beyond Championship level. Agree with the last bit though. Maybe hes weighing up his options. Even if he is pricing himself out of a move at the moment, those demands will drop but will not need to drop to the levels that we would have been offering to get a decent move at a level on par with us.
  5. Doesn’t need to rush in to things. He Thinks he’s a lower premier league player. Can see him waiting out until transfer window’s closed. In the hope that one comes calling after not getting top targets
  6. Can you imagine what our offer was like in 2023? He is going to be behind but hes probably going to sign a 3 or 4 year deal so in the grand scheme of things its not a terminal blow.
  7. I have to assume that Dolan is pricing himself out of a move. There is no way that clubs aren't interested in him 7 goals 6 assists at a good age on a free.
  8. Teams would rather have a Josh Windass than a Tyrhys Dolan any day of the week. No matter what way you dress it up, Dolan will never progress better than the championship. That does not mean he shouldn't looking for the best offer he can get, which will never be Blackburn Rovers btw.
  9. Not considering us in 2023 I think that was the mistake And reading reports there’s other champ teams interested but nothing has come of them so again I’m assuming he’s holding out for bigger could well happen but your saying what’s a couple of weeks….its quite a lot considering season is 1 month away and the fact he isn’t transferring from a club already training and he’s doing his own he’s going to be behind
  10. But what decision has he made that suggested misplaced confidence that has led him in a wrong direction? All he has done is rejected a contract offer here so far. I suspect a really low one hence the pattern of us being unable to tie players down. For the sake of a couple of weeks pre season ahead of a long term contract, surely it makes sense to ask for higher wages then those demands can slowly drop. Rather than just accepting a low offer really quickly to get it done.
  11. Can’t get on board with that one lads sorry (my opinion) teams are away or heading away to pre season camps having already had 2/3 weeks under their belts. He’s already behind in that regards for me he’s been badly advised and has took that on board - the Turkish club chairman statement spoke volumes nothing wrong with confidence in your ability but sometimes it can be misplaced
  12. Not the same situation. Dolan will require a fee to be paid so theres that additional issue. Plus it might be that Dolan is weighing up offers.
  13. They can take Windass without having to come to an agreement over a transfer fee or factoring in what it would cost them at tribunal. Dolan will 100% have interest and no doubt taking his time considering them it's a big move in his career.
  14. Whether it’s Dolan or his agent it’s much of a muchness as ultimately Dolan has control he can say to his agent ‘no this is what I want I’m happy with this’
  15. Or how inflated his agent is...
  16. I saw similar the other day on twitter. Cant remember which team and dunno why its not been announced.
  17. The Josh Windass deal shows you how Dolan is really thought of in the Championship. Walked out of his contract with Sheffield Weds midweek - already signed up for Wrexham (pending a medical) with Norwich and Coventry trying to hijack the deal.
  18. Today
  19. On the way we have played in the two friendlies, I am happy to assume Ismael knows what he is doing and has a season plan. Extraordinary to have 7 unavailable at this stage in the pre-season but there we are. Obviously playing hard ball with Boro and Derby over Brittain and we might have had a lucky break with Baradji (no not funny..) It is inconceivable we won't pick up at least a couple of loan players in the last day of the window so with the youngsters coming through the competition for places is going to be pretty intensive. We will need some long Cup runs to keep everyone happy.
  20. Bye-bye Jake Garrett then.
  21. Also, if another club sacks a manager after over a season in charge, he wishes relegation upon them.
  22. Cantwell suffered because he had nobody to pass to (Dolan and Hedges have no pace) and he ended up getting frustrated and coming deeper and deeper for the ball, taking him out of the play. Later-day-Dack used to do that too and it completely neutered him.
  23. Surely if they said 6 or 7 BEFORE Dolan, Weimann and Batth left, 5 more (ie 9) is not unreasonable. To be fair, all I am asking for is another number 10. Otherwise we are in a position where if Cantwell get injured, Tyjon has to play every game and hes not used to senior football and has had injury problems. Whereas sign another and we can blood him in a more controlled manner. Im guessing based on your comments that you cant understand the Badarji deal even before the failed medical.
