  1. Past hour
  2. It’s the whole defense Sgg, it needs a complete overhaul. Rangers just equalised with 10 men, how Celtic still have 11 is beyond me….
  3. I acknowledged the job he did. I do get that he is loved up there. But it was 20 years ago that he left. Alex Ferguson walks on water on the red side of Manchester but I dont see United trying to get him back. My point was that no club should appoint based on nostalgia and former glories as a manager or player. You saying that isnt a counter argument, I have acknowledged that its because O'Neill (or in Rangers case, the suggestion was Ferguson) is loved up there that he has been appointed, certainly not on merit. He may well end up overseeing a successful season, in fact he probably will. Even with a for their standards frugal summer, and even with Hearts starting well, their resources in a poor league will likely make the league title a formality.
  4. Lets start with this ☝️ Martin O'Neil walks on water in East end of Glasgow, with comments like this, you clearly don't get it.
  5. To say we have our share of big lads we don’t defend them very well at times. We got lucky with that lad interfering with a header that looked like going in. That goes in and yesterday’s result could have been different. The same centre half got on to the next one as well.
  6. Ismael has had to think quickly when most of last seasons team more or less vanished. He’s had a good look at who can do what in which position with the new guys and he’s come up with the current 3-4-1-2. It suits the skill levels of the players we have. We need 3 centre halves because none of them are good enough to play well consistently in a 2. If frees up our two full backs to do what they do best which is to play as wing backs and attack. Also having two players up front helps because none of our existing strikers thrive playing up there on their own. I think playing Ohashi and Gudjohnsen is the best way of scoring goals. We just need Cantwell back as the one behind the strikers and I think we have a good shape and a really coherent way of playing. If we still had Trav and Tron in centre midfield we would look better still.
  7. Its not about comparisons to last season although sometimes it is relevant. You dont like it because it opens the door to pointing out faults with the club. And its not just about having a certain number of players. We have a void in quality with Hyam leaving, we dont just need to bring back O'Riordan who was nowhere near our first team when here, he needs to be replaced properly. Our lack of depth in defence and lack of quality in depth in midfield is just down to poor recruitment. Spending £2m on Tavares was really poor as was signing a player with a long term injury. We also have players in Gueye and Kargbo who have just been really poor signings by Gestede. I agree that changing formation has worked out well short term but it naturally causes issues with the balance of the squad that will need rectifying if we are to commit to it. It also makes players like Ribeiro and Pickering surplus to requirements as they dont fit the system. I also cant see where Henriksson fits in with Cantwell and also Miroshita in the same position.
  8. Looking from the outside there are some similarities at Wolves to our own problems foreign owners selling their best players and replacing with unproven players and rinse and repeat.
  9. benson is very good at rearranging the counters on the tactics board and waving the subs board
  10. expect an unknown overseas head coach at Wolves.
  11. Ismael had to change tactics and formation in order to get results. That's clearly the right thing to do The team is different to last season, playing a different way and different player. don't get this obsession of your comparing to last season team. in the first 12 games of this season to last, its more to last season team. Hardly ground breaking is it. Maybe move on with that point. Yes we need a Hyam's replacement in the last window and I hope we bring one in or recall Connor O'Riordan back to the squad. That's give us 5 which is more than enough. I don't your points on Baradji or TGH to be honest. its pointless comparing to Travis. Travis wanted out and he gone. Tavares has been disappointed so far yes we need another striker in as discuss previously
  12. I hope Benson concentrating on coaching the keepers, doesn't mean Toths form falls off a cliff
  13. Today
  14. anyone who improves us on them is very welcome,we are tragically bad on free kicks and corners
  15. in all my years of watchng football, this rangers side is the most disorganised and undisiplined team iv`e ever seen, that right back makes titus bramble look like paulo maldini
  16. Getting a bit tetchy now

  18. The squad is definitely lacking in players for either formation, I would agree there. At centre back, we knew we had left ourselves massively short either way when we let Hyam go and didnt replace him. I am not as convinced that Wharton is best suited centrally, he has always had a mistake in him so I think if he was competing for the left hand side, as he is particularly left footed, at least he would have someone to help cover in the middle. Had we kept Hyam, we would look much more balanced and well covered. Some of the issues for either formation are just down to poor recruitment. If Gueye was even competent, we would at least have some depth up front. Kargbo doesnt fit this formation but he has been poor and is again out long term so theres no need to consider him. I think we are light of quality in midfield too but we shouldnt be having signed 3. One is average (TGH) one has looked terrible (Tavares) and one we signed knowingly with a bad injury (Baradji). We look really thin in quality there with the main 2 close to a suspension. Morishita was seemingly signed as a winger but the change means that we technically have 3 players in him, Henriksson and Cantwell for one position. However, the first 2 have struggled so far. Hedges and De Neve definitely suit the new formation and Alebiosu has been freed up by it.
  19. Look forward to seeing future releases!
  20. Rogers and Ten Haag are the early favourites at the bookies. Wolves are done for.
