Well I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I'm expecting a flood of goals tonight. We will sweep away the opposition and their hopes of getting anything from the game other than a damn good thrashing will have been flushed down the drain by half time. In the second half, the Rovers tide will once again be unstoppable and, unless another freak tropical monsoon hits Ewood Park like it did last Saturday, we'll be floating free of the relegation zone by 10:00 pm. Decided earlier to watch this from the comfort of my sofa after all the uncertainty. If the club had bothered to communicate earlier in the day or yesterday I might have made the effort to get down. Instead I had already talked myself into a takeaway, cans and watching it on the tv in front of the fire.

The club has as a good as admitted they don’t wish to spend the money necessary to being able to adhere to the following: Surely there has to be repercussions to this. Could dodgy drains turn out to be Venkys’ ‘Al Capone moment’?? I bloody well hope so.

The problem with their hard-luck rhetoric is that it assumes there is some kind of microclimate in the area of Ewood Park which the majority of our local rivals at a similar level don't experience. Seeing as we haven't seen matches being called off in the past three decades due to rain, it also assumes the rainfall this year is the worst it has ever been in the last 30 years or so, which I am skeptical of.

Any chance of them publishing these two lots of specialist advice?
