Up For The Cup

Ahead of tomorrow's third round tie at Ninian Park, Blackburn Rovers manager, Mark Hughes, has declared his enthusiasm for and desire to do well in the world's premier cup competition.

Speaking on the club's official website Hughes said, "The Cup is a great competition. I was successful as a player and I'd like to be successful as a manager. It is a tie we are looking forward to and a competition we will take seriously"

On the team selection front a number of players need late checks before Sparky can finalise the squad to face Cardiff City. There is differing news for Rovers two recent signings; Ryan Nelsen will not be involved as his international clearance has not come through in time while Aaron Mokoena may be in line for his first team debut.
