Well not long to go until we'll all know who's getting the games. Such a big fix and a waste of money really the process should be changed but that's modern day sport for you, even when it's for an "amateur" games. Hoping London will get it, despite my present location, though I'm sure both could put on a great show, just have a feeling Paris will get it in the end though.

M-K, you're not far wrong there.

Wait for all the political hoo haa. Money being deflected from the education/hospital/transport budgets to pay for it. This is what the political parties will push at you. You will be heartily sick of it well before it happens.

It's good when it happens, it's over in a flash, and there's a feeling of emptiness when it's finished.

My advice would be to get involved, it's a bit of (short term) fun.

Great for London which will put on a show that will make the so-called "best-ever" Olympics in Sydney look like a village fete.

Bad news for the rest of England as billions of pounds are pumped into what is already the wealthiest area of the country.

I don't understand this. Someone who voted for Madrid in Round 2 suddenly had a change of heart and voted for Paris in Round 3?!

Am I right in thinking that if this ONE person alone stuck with his original vote of Madrid then Round 3 would see

Paris 32

Madrid 32

and so Madrid wouldn't quite be eliminated?
