I've seen the home shirt for next year and it looks very good. Very clean lines, uncluttered and traditional. I think you will all like it.

We're on white socks again. Umbro wanted to do blue socks but Mr Hughes apparently wanted white as the are easier to see and they make you look taller.

Tugay should wear three pairs....

It will be Umbro and more importantly, it will be in the shops on time.

Good news.... and the away kit won't be grey either!

It will not be going to a fans vote as per previous years.

It was brought up at the recent fans forum.

Vote orange this time please :)

;)

That Orange kit was nice though :P

Is this the last year of bet24?

Yes, they need a new sponsor, according to the fans forum minutes, before the end of feb for umbro`s deadline

If we all chip in we could get brfcs.co.uk on the shirts ;)

That's good though. I have never got used to the target on the shirt.

Yes it is. The club are looking for a new sponsor right now, along with 7 other Premier league clubs so the market is very competitive. The release of next season's shirts is obviously dependent on agreeing the new sponsor. If someone knows the shirts will be in the shops in good time that might suggest that the club have agreed a deal. It was clear at the Fans' Forum that they would not be rushed into the wrong sponsorship deal and were even contemplating air freighting shirts in from the Far East if necessary if time got tight in the Summer. All this is in the minutes of the Forum on the official site.

2008/09 Shirt Sponsorship

SW updated the meeting on progress on a new shirt sponsorship deal for next season. For the first time the club had used an outside specialist agency who had done a thorough costing of the value of shirt sponsorship for prospective sponsors. The market for shirt sponsorship had changed significantly in recent years and there was much more interest from overseas companies and global brands following the successful marketing of the Premier League in overseas TV markets.

The club were hoping to have a deal in place by February, which would fit in with deadlines from Umbro for shirt manufacture. The club were talking to interested parties but it was a very competitive market as another 7 Premier League clubs were also looking for new sponsors. It was hoped that everything would be resolved in time for Umbro to produce the new shirts in good time for the new season. However, the club would not allow themselves to miss a better commercial deal to meet these deadlines. If necessary the club would consider air freighting the new shirts to make them available at the right time.

There was a further discussion about the suitability of having a gambling company as a shirt sponsor on shirts sold to children. The club were aware of the issues and also the restrictions that this gave the club but had to balance these concerns with commercial considerations.
