I haven't used Publisher before and am busy re-writing the company catalogue using the programme. One irritation I can't solve is this. We have two major products which are described as D6 and D12 - the number being the quantity per unit.

The font I'm using is Constantia in 9, 10 or 14 point. When I use "D6" the text shows as typed and required i.e D6. However when I type D12 the end result is D12 - the example is exagerated here, the numbers 1 and 2 would be half the height of the D. It doesn't "bold" the D in the way I have shown to illustarte the point.

Is this simply a characteristic of the font I chose, I can't find another font which behaves like this, or is there something I need to switch on / off? Using Publisher 2007.

It's a font thing.

The font takes the standard number as half size of a capital letter. Some numbers with extra bits (eg 3 or 5) go below the line, and some (eg 6 or 8) go above the line.
