When I find myself in times of trouble

Uncle Jack he comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

And in my hour of darkness

He is standing right in front of me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be.

Let it be, oh let it be

We are Blackburn Rovers

Let it be.

Caught the end of a classic film over weekend which reminded me of an old Rovers' song that would probablt be new to a few but not sure how 'politically correct' some of the latter verses would be in this day and age.

'In the Halls of Montezuma where the Burnley's never been,

Stands a six foot zulu warrior been ferked by the blue machine'

Happy days - best not go on - as this will prob most likely offend some other boardmembers........but HAPPY DAYS :brfcsmilie:

To the tune of "I love it when you call" by The Feeling -

I love you Brad Friedel

I love you Brad Friedel

Your arms are really long

And you're really really tall

You don't play for your Nation

And your back up is called Jason

And I love you Brad Friedel

Cos you're really really tall

Ah-whoaaaaaa

What about to the tune of Fields of Athenry and Liverpools Fields of Anfield Rd -

Outside the Blackburn end

I heard a Rover calling :

Jack Walker they have taken you away

But you left a great eleven

Before you went to heaven

Now it's glory round the Fields of Ewood Park.

All round the Fields of Ewood Park

Where once we watched the King Shearer play (and he could play)

led by Kenny he was king

We had dreams and songs to sing

Of the glory round the Fields of Ewood Park

Outside the Blackburn End

I heard a rover calling

Jack Walker they have taken you away..

You led that famous team

it's the best we've ever seen

And the Rovers they are still playing the same way

For how it should sound in full effect see link :

Heard sung in and around Ewood WMC:

(To the tune "We Hate Burnley")

Chris Samba is a 'very big' man,

Get past him if you 'think you' can,

He'll do a little trick and make you look a dick,

Samba, the 'big' man.

Anything between the apostrophe's are the 'pc' version...

All well and good, but how many people are going to know the tune? It's a bit obscure.

I mean, who?
