Always felt that touts perform a useful function but this guy is a total disgrace to the town of Blackburn.

You'll be amazed at how many ManU supporters there are in the town and i mean it will easily go over a thousand people.

Dont blame the guy - normal guy, making money. Clubs only kick off becuase it isnt them that gets away with charging over-inflated prices.

It inflates the prices for everybody by choking supply. Its utterly unfair and he deserves what he gets. Rovers don't have a problem as we don't get full houses, but if we did I am sure touts wouldn't be welcome.

I don't like touts much but Manchester United have been ripping their fans off for years...He is not the only one...go down there on any match day and there are loads of them hassling you for your ticket or to buy..

:rover: the most sucessfull ticket touts at gold trafford were supplied by club officials at one time,there was a massive scandal a few years ago and the club threatened to name the culprits,never happened and the said touts still operate :brfcsmilie:

That's small fry round here where businesses are funded and run with drug money ....

I'd love to be able to reveal one of the companies you allude to there BP but I'd get booted. Oh and there's be the inevitable PC whining.

But, then again, I wouldn't call fraud a "normal" way of making money. An illegal way, yes.

Blackburn tout jailed after he used over 100 false names to buy tickets....

Suhail Patel has been jailed after he used a string of false names to fraudulently buy and sell Manchester United and England tickets. Mr Patel, from Blackburn, was known as ‘Mr Manchester United’ and made thousands of pounds from selling tickets on the black market.

Among the false names used by Mr Patel to obtain the Man United tickets were Dr Rick Bowels, Mr Sinatra, Mr Charming, Mr Rhubarb and Mr Gravy.

Mr Patel pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud by misrepresentation and converting criminal property, with 159 similar offences of obtaining tickets also taken into account. He has been sentenced to eight months in prison, of which he will serve half.

I actually did end up in the wrong end at The Den back in '86. I soon realised my mistake but 'plod' would not entertain escorting me to the away end. So there I was ... stuck in the home end of the most notorious set of hooligans ever to (dis)grace England's green and pleasant land. The 'Kop' did seem to be full of families ... the problem was even the grandmothers had tattoos!! ... and that is no exaggeration. Luckily for me Rovers soon went two goals behind ... unluckily for me Rovers pulled off a dramatic comeback and I had to disguise my obvious delight by feigning utter disgust .... I wouldn't want to repeat the experience.

Loads of MU fans in Blackburn. Historically there always has been but with MU seemingly becoming increasingly popular amongst the Asian communities the figure is multiplying rapidly. It's not impossible that this tout chappie is just an opportunist milking the supply and demand situation in Blackburn.

btw 'Businesses being run to launder drug money'? Phil and LD? Dunno anything specific but my accountant insists that most petrol stations are up to their necks in laundered cash from the drugs trade.

Never a truer word said Theno ;) I think you can include asian taxi firms in there too. One has recently paid a massive £40grand for a supermarket contract, when the previous price for the contract was a fraction of that amount :glare:
