Bobby G
Surprised that Roque starts ahead of Roberts...Cant believe Ooijer will mark Downing! :s
jim mk2
Stoke beating City so imperative that we must NOT lose. Unless Roberts is carrying an injury there's no way he should be dropped for Santa Cruz. 2-0 Boro.
BRFC1995
not happy with dunn and roberts on the bench. one has to play to give us some forward momentum, leaves the oppurtunity to change the game in a big way off the bench however. i predict a scrappy unwatchable 60minutes, mccarthy and ooijer off replaced by roberts and dunn resulting in total rovers domination of the last 30minutes and a rovers win by the odd goal. DeadlyDirk
Ooijer made his presense felt. YC after 5 mins. Yeh I saw that, not confident with him playing on recent form.
Mr. E
So Andrews starts again and the best thing about the team - the striking partnership has been broken apart. Nice.

Backroom DE. Posted January 31, 2009 Backroom Share Posted January 31, 2009 It's an away point, and we had to deal with a couple of injuries we could have done without... but it's a shame we couldn't beat a dire Middlesbrough. We have to start turning these draws into wins. We just had chance after chance today and couldn't convert them. Disappointing, but time to move on to the next game. thenodrog
Last minute miss by Jason Roberts? Now why does that have a familiar ring to it?
bubblerrovers
We're doomed now, as don't see us getting any points in next 3 games, poor finishing let us down again
Tim Southampton Rover
To be fair to Roberts....Brad Jones made a superb save.
jim mk2
Boro reserve keeper Brad Jones man of the match with stunning saves to deny Rovers in last 15 mins. Another 2 points dropped.
ihtd
This was a game we had to win, we might still be close to the pack at the moment, but come 3 games time, we could very easily find ourselves with the fixtures we have coming up, rooted to the foot of the table. JR v Sunderland-last minute sitter missed 0-0 JR v Boro'-last minute sitter missed 0-0 4 points dropped between the two games, we need to turn these draws into wins ASAP. Mr. E
UN.BE.LIEVABLE. We seemed to score about 10 goals in extra-time, but somehow none of them actually crossed the line. Their keeper saved everything, we didn't get a penalty, bobbled just wide, absolutely everything happened except a goal. The ball spend practically the entire 2nd half on Boro's goal-line but not a single one of our muppets could stretch his foot to knock it in. And you compare this to teams like Arsenal who smash us 4,5-0 from two half-chances. Just lost for words. And we're in the relegation zone again.
