Bazzanotsogreat
Apparanly Cardiff turned square in the last county match! First time a spinning wicket will suit England over Aus I see it like this. Australia’s top order is better than England’s England’s engine room 6,7 & 8 is better The seam pace/attack is equal England’s spin attack is better than Australia. All in all I believe that the two teams will be pretty equal & will go down to pitch conditions tosses and who is the greater captain.

Billy Castell
Put me down on the list of people who is annoyed about Cardiff getting a match, and Old Trafford missing out. Having test cricket in Wales is great, but this the Ashes, the biggest teast series around. Surely grounds such as Hampshire, or Cardiff should 'earn'that right and host matches against other nations first. Mind you, if The Oval has a match, it is slightly unfair that London has two test matches, and none are in Manchester.
Bazzanotsogreat
Anyone seen much of Stuart Meaker at Surrey? apparantly he is quick as Lee was in his pomp; but a little wayward- i dont think he is 20 yet, but big things are expected of him.

Tris
Great week for Lancashire in the Twenty20 ... stuffed Yorkshire twice and an away win at Notts in between. Looking really sharp in the field and a happy team. We were at Old Trafford on Monday and witnessed one of the best catches one could hope to see live - take a bow Steven Croft - the youtube clip doesn't do it justice at all, but look out for it on Sky's Cricket am in the morning - they've got a much better view of it. Vicki
Not quite as good but there was another absolute belter right in front of us from Parry last night, he caught it on the boundary, overbalanced so threw it back in and then caught it again. Remarkable. And was there ever a better case of the biter bit??!!! I was watching live on TV when the very same Adam Voges started the boundary juggling trend a few months back ... amazing he was the victim this time round! Come on Lancs! Ozz
As a seasoned Lancs fan, it's a bit early for me to be getting too excited by the teams start to the season, seen it many many times before. But there does seem a lot of promise so far. Plus Chorley are top of the northern league and England keep winning this summer, so could be looking for a repeat of the Annus Mirabilis of 1995! RibbleValleyRover
I know its early days but Moores has done a great job so far, you can see real unity in the team and they look like they are enjoying their cricket.
Billy Castell
It does feel strange after all these years thinking that a pitch that helps spin may be better for England. Swann seems pretty good, and if Monty can vary his deliveries a bit more and get back on form............. The Aussies wil still win, although it'll be close. They have the edge with the bat. P.S. It's Flowers now RVR. Moores left because of Pietersen being a nob.

Ozz
Another 15 points today for Chorley after an easy win over Blackpool. There was a guy at Chorley today, from Padiham. He had got the bus from Padiham to Preston, then from Preston to Chorley just to watch a top Northern League game. (He is a Rovers and Lowerhouse fan, neither of whom were playing today). Said it took him him 2 and a half hours!

You mean that KP was asked by the ECB about what he needed to take the team forward, and he said a new coach, so the ECB leaked it, sacked KP, but also sacked Moores, but that makes KP a bad person for pointing out that Moores was not good enough to be an international coach. Keith (Used to play for Rovers) Barker took 4 for 19 for Warwickshire on Friday at the Twenty 20 vs Worcester. The guy can play

Glad that everything turned out well for him - he was a decent player but he was never going to cut it. Good that he was pretty good at two sports! Ozz
England win the warm up against Windies 145-1 Luke Wright 75 off 48 balls I think some of the Windies bowlers were not told to bowl 'em were he could hit 'em. There were plenty right rank long hops outside off stump, Wright already stood there with his bat behind his head ready to club it out of the ground. Eddie
Flintoff his hardly the public school type. Gough wasn't. You don't have to be to behave properly and not come across as a total d$ck.
Flopsy
its only you thats coming over like the male member with this vendetta against him, he's done nothing wrong and sets a much more professional example on how to behave compared to Fred. ill repeat, he did not leak those comments to the press, the ECB did. And unless you're the one person who thinks England was better under Moores what he wrote was correct. And Gouth was s self promoting blagard, with an excellent Yorker
