Güiza...

http://www.soccernews.nl/news/67380

"Daniel González Güiza, better known as Dani Güiza, seems again after a season to leave by Fenerbahçe. The Spanish simply is unhappy in Istanbul and would also leave the club. So let him know Friday in the Turkish newspaper fanatic. Blackburn who keep the situation in the holes. The 28-year-old international earned after a successful EK in 2008, where he was champion in Spain, a transfer to Fenerbahçe."

Afternoon update #1 of 2

nicko digest from the Blackburn Rovers Transfer Topic (Part 2) thread covering the period from early morning yesterday, when the original transfer topic thread was closed, up to 13:30 this afternoon. Note that nicko was only active on the thread as per below.

Any comments on nicko's posts should be confined to that thread - DO NOT POST THEM HERE!

Blackburn on track [of] N'Zonzi

I know for a fact that he is on the wish list...How far down?.............No idea...........

Followed by several French clubs Monaco and Marseille...........................................Stéphane N'Zonzi is a French Youth International and was the only player in the Frech squad from the Lower divisions......................

Pompy wanted him but he decided to stay in France but now its Big Sams turn to talk him into a move to Ewood..........watch this space........

From BBC gossip column:

"Manchester City will expect any club looking to sign out-of-contract striker Daniel Sturridge to pay a £10m 'development fee' to the Blues"

That sounds a bit outrageous and will definitely rule us out of any move for him. Chelsea all the way looks like, if even they are willing to pay that!

Man City are obviously unaware of the transfer tribunal rules.

Is anyone surprised by that?

Oh, and the kid who has yet to play 90 minutes is worth just a bit less than where they rate Roque.

Unreal.

nicko: will there be any news tonight? eleven o'clocker maybe..

Half-time in Ecuador v Argentina, so seems about time...

Aston Villa definitely planning to come in for Roque. O'Neill desperate to get rid of John Carew to help raise the funds and make space. People working overtime on this one just now to get them into the race - just in case it starts soon.

Good news all round as Villa will make sure there is an auction.

Man City think they have this to themselves just now and are in control.

Not quite.

Nicko, Is the rumours about Pogrebnyak holding out for a top four premier league club true? I believe we showed some interest in January? But he was looking for a bigger move?

I see he is out of contract in November and won't be signing a new contract at Zenit.

Its a shame if true as he would be a fantastic signing.

I could see him being on the radar later in the summer, but I don't think he is a 'live' one at the moment. The Russian league runs over the summer, so we will know better if he is watched.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...op-stories.html

FULHAM boss Roy Hodgson is weighing up a bid for Blackburn's Steven Reid.

The Irish midfielder, 28, is back after a knee injury last year.

[Above posted quoted]

If it's true, we should accept any cash offer that they make hands down. If we could get Roque Santa Cruz, Zurab Khizanishvili, Steven Reid, Matt Derbyshire, Jason Brown, Paul Gallagher and Maceo Rigters off our books, then we could do so much work this summer...

Nicko, has their been any further development with David Hoilett's situation? Is their any truth in us being interested in Marco Zoro again?

[Above posted quoted]

There is no way in the world that Fulham want Steven Reid right now. He hasn't played for a year. It's the winner of the award for the 'stupidest story of the summer.'

I don't know when Hoilett's case is to be heard.

Hopefully there is nothing in Zoro. You have to be able to do better than him. And, as far as I know, you are looking at better than him.

Such as...

[Above posted quoted]

Civelli, Chimbonda, Mister Z, Mister AA and Mister BB.

could we get the updates in a separate thread, ie nickos ticker like the last transfer window, i started this topic for transfer links and its just getting clogged up with these updates.

Fair point - one that I brought up when I first started posting the updates. Please see the opening post in "Transfer Threads" over in the Ask Admin section. Note that the posts following the initial post were transferred from the old Sam's Summer Shopping List thread as "spillover" and form a separate discussion, so just add your post to continue the original discussion. Thanks.

[Mods - hope this is ok to give clarification despite it being a no chat thread. Delete if necessary!]

Afternoon update

nicko digest from the Blackburn Rovers Transfer Topic (Part 2) thread covering the period from 13:30 yesterday up to 14:00 this afternoon. Note that nicko's activity on the thread was only brief and included the post below.

Things are pretty quiet on the transfer front. The main discussion on the thread revolved around an article in the Daily Mail today that claimed that Spurs had already made a bid for Roque and that Rovers were considering moving for Chimbonda and the Newcastle trio of Butt, Smith and Nolan.

Mail Online, 12 June 2009

There was no eleven o'clocker from nicko last night, but he did post the following clarification this morning.

Roque is NOT Man City's top target for the central striker's role...

So that one has a long way to run yet.

Robinson again linked to Spurs, Rovers vaguely linked to Gerhard Tremmel as replacement

Marco Zoro linked with Rovers, after he becomes available on a free (article does not explain how we're linked)

Blackburn will not pick up Geordies from fire sale

Rovers player good buy on Football Manager - no doubt he'll be sold immediately

Morning update

nicko digest from the Blackburn Rovers Transfer Topic (Part 2) thread covering the period from 14:00 yesterday up to 10:00 this morning. Note that nicko was quite active on the thread yesterday as per below.

In today's Hull Daily Mail it has a quote from the agent of Le Herve's Amadou Allasane, who scored 10 goals for the relegated club, stating "Hull City, Stoke and Blackburn Rovers have all shown an interest in Allasane".

3 club rule?

Oui.

nicko any update on some of the other players we have been linked with, any news on offers or scouting, or are any just simply no longer targets.

Such as.....

Renato Civelli DOWN TO PERSONAL DEMANDS

Modeste M'bami ROVERS WANT TO SEE MORE OF HIM - WHICH IS GOING TO BE HARD

Sofiane Feghouli NOT ON THE RADAR FROM WHAT I HEAR...OVER-PRICED, A BIT YOUNG

Someone asked about Michael Bradley again, any truth in that one? NOW THERE IS A BLAST FROM THE PAST

[above post quoted]

Hmm interesting, a blast from the past but you haven't ruled it out?? Although just looked him up and it seems he signed a 4 year deal less than a year ago, then again how silly of me to think a contract means anything these days!!

[above post quoted]

I just said he was a 'blast from the past'...he was watched and overlooked and is now somewhere else.

Nicko, what's happening with Gael Givet?

Didn't you say it would be completed once his loan finished on 10th June?

As far as I know it was 'done' on June 10...changed from being a loan transfer to a full one.

But as the player and the manager are on holiday - and nobody at the club is around - there has been no official announcement.

Ok thanks Nicko, any other news from today then?

It's late enough now...Man City want Forlan rather than Roque as we speak. Going to try and pull that one off next. I wouldn't bet against them managing it either.

Cracking striker.

Afternoon update

nicko digest from the Blackburn Rovers Transfer Topic (Part 2) thread covering the period from 10:00 yesterday morning up to 17:00 today. Note that nicko is currently away and did not post in the thread. However, he did post on the Mystery X - Guess Away thread today as per below. This was after the identity of one of the mystery strikers was revealed as Franco Di Santo in the Mystery X - Guess Away thread and confirmed in nicko's piece in today's Sunday People:

Allardyce Has First Refusal On Santo

Any comments on nicko's posts should be confined to the relevant threads - DO NOT POST THEM HERE!

In New York...and I thought the Americans were noisy. ;)

Di Santo is a terrific young player - as good as anything you could possibly get.

Great in the air, good on the ground, agile and athletic. He would play for most teams in the Prem NOW if he was not at Chelsea.

The deal is ideal for your circumstances. You can sign him BEFORE Roque leaves without having to spend - that was the point I hinted at back some weeks ago. Obviously if Roque goes he would be in the side. Roque didn't play much last season, did he?

Rovers have had to agree with Chelsea that di Santo WILL play. There is no point in him going somewhere and warming a bench.

There is a big queue for him but Rovers have the first refusal...which is as good as it gets.

Chelsea's heirarchy are happy for him to go, but they want to let Ancelotti have the final say. That is why it was delayed like it was.

The player WILL go where he is told. His agent WORKS for Chelsea, so there is no great problem there.

Chelsea see him going out and coming back as a first-team starter.

You would be lucky to get him. Of course, if you don't want him I now a man who does...

So he is Mister X, Mister Y will get his own thread soon. Remember Derbyshire is being stopped from going until TWO strikers come in...and that is even before the Roque equation.

Have a nice day.

Afternoon update

nicko digest from the Blackburn Rovers Transfer Topic (Part 2) thread covering the period from 17:00 yesterday up to 13:30 today. Note that although nicko is currently away and did not post in the thread, he did post on the subject of Di Santo on both the Mystery X - Guess Away and the Franco Di Santo threads last night as per below.

Any comments on nicko's posts should be confined to the relevant threads - DO NOT POST THEM HERE!

Taken from the Mystery X - Guess Away thread:

Fascinated by the opinions on di Santo...

Can we have a hand count?

How many have actually seen him play?

The kid is a far better idea that the problem that is Zaki and the yesterday's man that is Kuranyi...

Half of the Premier League would take this guy and have asked. You have the deal in place. It is a pretty smart piece of business by your club.

Nicko. Is their a view to buy? Do you reckon a view to buy could be haggled?

Not at all. Chelsea see him as their number 9 in the future.

Taken from the Franco Di Santo thread:

Rovers have told Chelsea that they want Di Santo because he will in all probability be a 'starter' in the side because of his ability.

He is not being signed to sit on the bench...what would be the point of that for either Rovers or Chelsea?

Chelsea know he won't start for them next season, so they want him out and playing. That is the reason they are sending him out on loan.

It's really not that complicated.

You get a player for just a wage for a year - no fee, no rental. You can't lose.

There are NO better players at that kind of rate about.

Campbell at Man U is costing a fee plus wages and he isn't remotely close to this lad on ability.

Everton thought they had a deal for him and another club were trying. Rovers have handled it right and now just wait for Chelsea giving Ancelotti the courtesy of looking at the player before letting him go.

JUST SEEN THE ABOVE POST AND WOULD LIKE TO APPLAUD THE CHAP FOR HIS SUMMARY...

Check out Trailblazer's excellent summary referred to here - it's immediately above nicko's post.

Meanwhile on the main transfer thread, unleaded had the following news:

looks like Zurab has agreed to Join Gala on a 3 year contract after being tipped off by Tugay.........The Figures involved are that Rovers will get 2.5 Euros with the player getting 1.4 annual wages........................The player has all but agreed and will sign after he returns from his Holidays in Bodrum..........

This Transfer should allow Big Sam to step up his efforts for Pascal Chimbonda or the Argentine Chap.................

Rovers will also step up there efforts this week for PSG Midfeilder Jerome Rothen...............It is beleived his agent is flying over this week..............

Afternoon update

nicko digest from the Blackburn Rovers Transfer Topic (Part 2) thread covering the period from 13:30 yesterday up to 14:30 today. Note that nicko is currently away and did not post in the thread. The above link aside, very little of note was reported as having been published in the media, but unleaded did post updates on possible ins and outs as per below.

Any comments should be confined to the relevant threads - DO NOT POST THEM HERE!

Jérôme Rothen`s Transfer to Blackburn edged closer when the new coach(Kombouaré) of PSG demanded that the deal with Rovers be done by July 3..................which is 2 weeks.................

Rothen has made it clear to PSG that he wanted to leave ASAP................................

Kombouaré :"I realized the player wanted to leave the club. But he is under contract until 2011. If no offers have taken place before the July 3, he will return and obey the rules. ".....................................

Rothen will at long last give MGP a run for his money....he has had it his own way for far too long...............In fact wont be surprised if Big Sam gets rid................

latest developments on the Matty Derbyshire Transfer are that the Greek club have increased there offer to 2.5 Euros rising to over 3 million previous being 2 million...............The Greeks will walk away if they dont have there latest offer acceppted.................Yeh.......... Yeh

Rovers want 5 Million but will most likely settle for 3.5.......................

Frank Rijkaard will have the final say on Zurabs transfer and is looking for "better options"..........Looks like Zurab will have to wait for a few days more but is ALREADY in Turkey!.........................Just in case..............
