Well done Hughesy, mine all lost this weekend but England brought the Ashes home so was well paid up! Been betting on them for the last 2 years. Took me a bloody hour on the online help to William Hill to get the buggers to pay me though, they had conveniently forgot/removed the bets I placed a long time ago before they changed their website in December. Cheeky little gits, if anyone else betted on the Ashes with WH before December then I'd check you get your money because they might not nessicarily pay you out without kicking up a fuss.

Nothing much on tonight but had to get my betting fix in so have done the following:

Liverpool vs Villa

Banik Ostrava vs FC Brno

OB Odense vs Randers

Braan vs Sandjeford

Diyarbakirspor v Fenerbahce

I don't remember Hughes slipping up much in the cups with us, Hughesy. That was kinda why I included them because, otherwise, they're pretty unpredictable. With City not being in European competition as well, I'm hoping they take the cup's early rounds fairly seriously.

Losing 4-1 to Coventry rings a bell

Did you have Liverpool to get beat last night Dirk?

Usually ladbrokes, or sometimes BET365 or Paddypower.

Paddypower are a fav of mine, they always have tasty specials with real good odd's.

You can't beat actually going into the bookies though.

We also lost in the league cup v Doncaster didn't we... under Hughes?

But I think City will win against Palace. It's the direct ball teams that often fall to lower league teams. City, I suspect will play with ball to feet as their big names try to prove themselves. Palace will just keep giving the ball away.

Done my bets for tonight, got 40-1 on a cheeky cup upset double. Hereford to beat Pompey and Hartlepool to beat Burnley. I can see Burnley resting a few and concentrating on the league. Also Hereford have a good record of cup upsets and although hey've been poor so far i think they will come up against a very weak pompey team. Hart will have to rest all of his key players as his squad is so thin. at 40-1 for the double it's worth a pound of anyones money.

As for my accumulator I've gone for:

Tamworth v Wrexham Match Result Tamworth @ 7/4

Atletico Madrid v Panathinaikos Atletico Madrid @ 4/11

Maccabi Haifa v Salzburg Maccabi Haifa @ evens

Leeds v Watford Match Result Leeds @ evens

Kilmarnock v Morton Kilmarnock @ 1/2

BK Hacken v IF Brommapojkarna BK Hacken @ 4/5

England Ladies v Italy Ladies England Ladies @ 1/2
