preston blue
Hughsey, have you not heard of Swine Flu? Just self certificate your illness and don't get photographed celebrating the Roberts hattrick (not much chance of that lol).

CrazyIvan
It'll be interesting to see who Sam picks for this game. We need some returning players to get match fit asap. Emo, Reid, McCarthy are key for me. I'd love to see them get at least part of a game. I'd also love to see Holiett start!
AndyNeil
can't say I'm looking forward to the trip down to nottingham after that today .....
Backroom Tom Posted September 20, 2009 Backroom Share Posted September 20, 2009 The team we will play will likely excite me more than our usual team, expect to see Hoilett starting and hopefully Kalinic will get 90. Is N'Zonzi still injured and Di Santo?
philipl
If sam really is the expert, Forest are in for a thrashing on Tuesday.

champions1995
If sam really is the expert, Forest are in for a thrashing on Tuesday. Thats not true. We may be a division higher, but it's a cup tie, we are away from home and how often have we seen upsets occur in this competition. Surely Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Fulham would have been expecting to beat Burnley last year but all of those slipped up. This is a difficult tie, and progression will be a success in my opinion.
1864roverite
Despite the "death by internet" experience today (Rovers v Everton), I think we will still win. bazza
Andrews HAS to start. This is his level. I also hope for full games from Kalinic, Nzonzi and Junior. I doubt De Santo will play, even if fit. Chelsea will not allow it, surely.

bennyboyt11
Kalinic HAS to get 90 minutes in this game, needs some proper game time and hopefully a confidence boosting goal or two.
Gavlar Somerset Rover!
According to this teamtalk story we are not allowed to play Di Santo as Chelsea don't want him cup-tied. So I guess that confirms that the transfer ban imposed on them will mean that he has a short stay at Ewood. Di Santo out of Carling Cup tie
Hughesy
Im praying that Brown doesnt play - he just isnt good enough!! Hoilett, Kalinic & Benni should all be given starts. And maybe even Emerton instead of Gorilla.
Hughesy
Impress against Forest and keep the shirt Big Sam has warned the players that after yesterday, most of their positions are in Jeopardy and that if anyone impresses in the cup then they will get a chance in that position. Amo
Is Bunn still at Sheffield Utd? I don't know why Brown wasn't the one loaned out. Anyway... Fielding Emerton - Samba - Nelsen - Olsson Doran - Reid - N'Zonzi - Hoilett McCarthy - Kalinic
joey_big_nose
Impress against Forest and keep the shirt Big Sam has warned the players that after yesterday, most of their positions are in Jeopardy and that if anyone impresses in the cup then they will get a chance in that position. Right thing to do in the circumstances. Agree that Hoilett, NZonzi and Kalinic should all play. Kalinic NEEDS a goal. He has looked so poor so far. People were giving Roberts stick, rightly, after Everton. But the Croation was substantially worse than big jase. Which is sad! Team I would go for: -------------Kalinic--McCarthy ----Olsson---NZonzi----Reid----Hoilett Chimbonda---Nelsen----Samba---Emerton -------------------Brown
RibbleValleyRover
Robinson Emerton Samba Nelsen Chimbonda (or Givet- though he is very doubtful for the forest game) Hoilett Reid N'Zonzi Diouf McCarthy Kalinic Reidy and Emerton will start if Sam is speaking the truth. Can't see them playing together in central midfield at their current level of match sharpness or fitness so Reid i think will be in the centre and Emerton either right back or right wing. N'zonzi playing the main holding/sitting role and allow Reidy to make forward runs, Diouf on the left wing as he can play there. Hoilett has to start imo, deserves a run in the team. Time to bring back a fat Benni, he offers far more of a goal threat than Roberts and Kalinic needs to get a run out and score some goals to get his confidence up. At such an early stage of the season i don't see the point in resting Robbo.

OhmiBRFC
17:00 I think, you have until 12:00 tomorrow, or they can be bought on the day. Go with the Ewood Blues; it's £17 on there.
rebelmswar
Is Bunn still at Sheffield Utd? Yes and he played rather well in a great Sheffield derby. Don't let the scoreline fool you, he seems to be one for the future for sure. Treacy wasn't bad either.
