DeadlyDirk
I hope Pedersen's next free kick is aimed directly at Redknapp's stupid face, they just showed him on screen and his stupid mug angered me.

Tris
Salgado isn't the problem. He is being left totally exposed by Emerton. Brett needs to pull his finger out. Rubbish! Salgado's the bloody right back and he has been exposed every time he's been one on one with Bale. That's nothing to do with Emerton. Or are you saying Bale is such a good player he should be permanently double marked?

MarkBRFC71
A for forks sake. Why are we so bad defending corners! Pathetic. Especially when BFS reckons we are good at them - defending and attacking. Not a good goal to concede. Need to take Salgado off, Chimbo to RB, Olsson to LB and Hoilett or maybe Basturk on? HemelRover
thought big sam specilised in defensive coaching shocking defence at the corner You can coach all you want. If the players dont bloody concentrate and actually defend its all so much warm air.
hollowsr
We have been awful. Bit unfair I think, we've played it around quite well at times but just haven't got the ball into the right areas. I think Salgado has to come off and put Emerton back there, then bring Diouf or Junior there!
tony gale's mic
Salgado was a poor choice at RB vs Bale, he's done well in other games but he was always going to struggle today. We have been very poor but that goal at the end was a real kick in the teeth.
Eddie
Got it all wrong with the Salgado selection. Unlucky in a sense to let that goal in at the end, but it was coming. If he doesn't take Salgado off at half-time then I can't see us not letting a second one in.
Rovermatt
Dreadful stuff. We've been so lazy in possession. Why do our players insist on passing high balls to each other. Keep it on the deck! We should have had a penalty though. Shocking refereeing as usual.
Baz
Pedersons man got the flick on unopposed at front post, as MGP ran into Samba. Chimbonda ball watching allowed Defoe to make room at back post. Think we had already stopped for half-time. Shame as we had done well until that point. Got to change Salgado, put Bert there and try something different on right wing - Basturk maybe. Eddie
Chimbonda can't defend crosses. Emerton might work but he doesn't seem to fancy it so far. Two great saves from Brown. Emerton, Chimbonda...basically anyone would be better. You simply can't be beaten that easily that regularly.

hollowsr
We should have had a penalty though, shocking refereeing as usual. Very true, also I can't believe Assou-Ekotto wasn't booked early on for pulling Kalinic back
RibbleValleyRover
We have been awful. Not our worst performance this season but we are lacking in defense and attack. No real chances created for Niko so far as out final ball is lacking real quality. Dunny has had a few runs but not much has come from it, probably should have had a penalty though looking at the replay. Defensively our right hand side is a big problem and there needs to be something changed whether that be player changes or tactical instructions. Expecting us to give it a go in the second half at some point, need to be careful as Bale will be a threat on the counter. Sam will be fuming at conceding a goal just before HT and due to some shocking defending.
Hughesy
Feel sorry for Salgado because Emerton has been sh!te n offered him little cover. Poor undeserved goal but not suprising with considering 2ft Brown is in goal. Pedersen n Brown at fault for the goal. Should of been 1-0 to us from a penalty too!! I think Salgado has to come off and put Emerton back there, then bring Diouf or Junior there! The formation isn't working in the slightest - no penetration at all and Spurs can cut us open down the right at will (I knew Salgado was slow, but good god, Bale breezes past him). Bobby G
0-0 at half time couldve been a whole different story. Salgado at right back is causing us huge problems and you cant blame him. The goal was a collective error. No one other than Olsson actually tried to do anything in that corner. Cant see a way back now.

Or are you saying Bale is such a good player he should be permanently double marked? How many times have Assou-Ekotto and Bale linked up out there? They're overlapping and we're leaving one to deal with both. Bale is hugging the touchline so he cannot be marked tightly, then exploding inside. The answer to that is to drop the right winger back to cover him out wide, or atleast stop him being such an obvious outlet, leaving the right back inside so we don't lose our shape.
